I don't know why a lot of people remember love triangle like a proper one and ling xiao sudden confession from Go Ahead. It like everyone has Mandela effect.

Ling xiao through out his high school era suggested he saw her more than a sibling, asking her to not enter the room, saying he marry her when she said she is dumb who will marry her, asking her not to sleep in same bed with him, telling her he will take care of her for rest of his life. (Yes that kiss was uncalled for but his love was not out of the blue)

He Ziqiu proposing marriage to Jianjian, why everyone remember it as romantic feeling. He didn't mistake his feelings, if I remember correctly the aunties where talking about marriage and how someone was in bad marriage and the aunties were concerned. Ziqiu(who was there) decide to take cake of jianjian, by marrying him she doesn't have to leave the home and Li baa will have them forever. This way he will also be registered on the family registery. He decided to marry out of responsibility. And even Jianjian know how he felt and declined him talking how he still is family. He also knows he doesn't love her romantically so he doesn't have to do this

I don't know why people remember this thing from Go Ahead and all wrong was this was called the Mandela effect.

No, he never mistook his feelings for Jianjian he wanted to marry her out of responsibility and not out of love. He wanted to be on the family register that he was okay with marriage and it lasted only a couple of minutes when he asked her and she rejected knowing well why he asked in the first place and talked to him just like Ju Won did when Haejun was cleaning the window. Here it was done in front of everyone so it becomes comical.

Also in the original Ziqiu didn't change his name officially to his biological dad and that is why he didn't receive any benefits. Kang Haejun changed to Yang hae Jun which is why people initially talking about the marriage proposal would be an unnecessary thing here cause he already changed his name so that is why the realtor part of asking for the family register was needed here.

It was same as here he didn't had a phase of liking jianjian but he did propose her with same intention. To be included in family register. Here haejun did in front of everyone making it comical there Ziqiu did in the home when only jianjian was present but he did admit that it was out of responsibility not because he liked or loved her romantically

Thank you for putting it much better way. What I wanted to say was literally this. The argument was not opposing you I was talking in favour with what you comment on the og comment that things that we will never know and it doesn't feels empty.

Also, if he had found the dad, it would have been the usual plot 5 candidate. Definitely, the last one was going to be the one, and in this case, he probably either passed or was on the same path. So yes I'm happy that they didn't opt to do this

I guess it can be a plot hole, or we can say very vaguely shown. Jae Mi's mother will probably never do that; she has sons with her husband, and the way she ran as soon as her husband called her asking who was it on the door shows she is ashamed of having her, saying she was conceived her probably at very young age and probably out of wedlock. The reaction she had seeing Jae Mi clearly shows she never imagined her past will come back to hunt her.
The estranged dad will definitely know after his death. I can't say if it was true cause the last few minutes of them are traveling to places they want to go and looks like multiple weeks have passed but they kept in contact with others (but contact with his estranged dad was not shown)
Also, I'm happy that he didn't find his biological dad, as well as the rich candidate was not his dad. This only led him to accept his found family way more than before and his willingness to spend more time with them as he is close to his end. It also showed how the dad was ashamed of what he did and, in the long run, regretted making that decision.

And I agree with you. It didn't make the drama feel empty.

1. Showing snippets of the end in the first episode. So that we can be not too sad.
2. Having a realistic ending. Not coming up with miracles.
3. Happy that he actually didn't find the biological dad. Though some of us see it as a plot hole, not finding him showed how much he came to love his found family and want to spend his last moments with them.
4. That the chairman was not the dad. Ah! So much sh*t would have happened if he was. Also, I was like okay, by the end the 5th candidate will be his dad and then he will die the usual stuff but the writer didn't do that.
5. Reconnecting his dad and finding the graduation certificate and all his stuff kept properly. Showing even though his dad was upset about something, he wasn't at fault, but with time, he was ashamed of his own act. (Not saying the dad was good)
6. Kidnapping Jo Jae Mi. In my view, it wasn't a rash decision. He saw her break down in the hospital, and they both hit, their rock bottom. His decision to travel with her not only saves her from becoming a scammer but to Eo Heung finding himself (but sad for him still) and, yes, selfishly spending time with one he truly loved.

9. Jo Jae Mi finding her mother and learning she still doesn't accept her leading her to find the people she truly loves and can be comfortable around. To the viewer showing she actually never went out to find the child she gave away. The mother expression clearly shows that she never thought her past would come to hunt her. (I'm guessing she conceived Jaemi at very young age and out of wedlock cause her other children with her husband was young)

Things I'm happy for in this drama ⬇️

Even if the ending is sad. Trust me that's not the factor to not watch this one. This drama is full of life and lot of chaotic same brain cell bestie vibe. Also last episode has become my favourite

That dude was goofy to me. ngl. For a second I also thought it was a fever dream. But he was persistent that’s all I can say 🤣🤣

Side rant- Also I think it’s a relief he did that, imagine a family as strict as that only said yes to marriage cause you are 2 months pregnant and learns after the wedding it is a lie not only that you can not even carry a child it would have been a nightmare to live in that house. Also, the way the entire clan was tracking the heirs from generations, who to say they won’t force for divorce or second marriage? (I know here it would have been a bit light as the series is a bit of comedy but that is such a scary situation to be in)

Such a beautiful series till the end. It heals something in me. It’s a story that, even after having a plothole (as per a few comments), I will still watch and recommend to others. It's a very peacefully chaotic drama without a single boring episode. Found family is such a loved subject of mine to watch, so yes, I’ll love it without a hiccup, and I'm so happy with the way it ends. That ending episode is, without a doubt, my favorite; it’s cheerful and life-loving even when it slipping from your hand, so marvelously done. I love how the actor performed their characters and the expression conveys so much. Also, I get that taking away a girl from her wedding part was a red flag, but as the story progresses, we can see how these two never got over each other, not only that they have a very bestie with the same one-brain cell vibe.
