why do they give the FL such unbearably stupid BFF's. Dan Juan may have the best heart when it comes to his Boss, but geez, the advice he gives is just ridiculous. This is so typical of cdrama's, the BFF have no relationship knowledge of their own, but boy they can dish out the stupidest advice.

I'm about half-way through and have yet come to the real crying part, mainly the part I'm at was how does anyone bow to that arrogant evil old man. Why someone hasn't put a pillow over his face while he is sleeping is beyond me. And how the wife has stayed with him all these years just really makes me wonder about women in general. It was so important to have the money and still be treated like a rug, don't get that at all. I'd love to know what Korean watchers thought of this and if it was just normal as could be to them. what I didn't get, or completely missed in the beginning was why were the loans harks after her, what had her husband done that she ended up owing so much money

I'm in epi 18 of the first season and have not seen black face so I don't know if she talking about something else, like face slapping or what, but sure haven't seen blackface.

I'm convinced they only make two kind of men in these c-dramas...men who are so evil they treat their families like ants and men with absolutely no backbone at all. In this one the gramma is evil, I wish she was the one getting smacked. I know it's a whole different attitude there but to stand there and get slapped multiple times without defending yourself is beyond me. And as much as I love the ML, he never stand up to the old witch, I don't care how much she did for him, he's like a sponge that just takes it all in. The one time he does he looks like he's going to cry. And the SML, OMG...he should be a girl.

I've bypassed this for so long and finally decided to give it a shot. I'm on epi 43 and don't know if I love it or hate it. One of the things I find so weird is although the FL is a rich girl, the costuming is so ridiculous. Who goes "camping" in a short dress and heels, petty on my part, you bet. The father is a total disaster, Bai Xai's mother is your typical greedy Chinese mother, gambler, money hungry until she gets "kidnapped" and basically is scared straight. Both the leads were fantastic in these roles. At epi 43, I've finally found out about Chi Ye, at least his back story, so wondering how far he's going to take this in the next 11 epi.

they needed someone else to take care of her and continue to spoil her, they apparently didn't see how his parents treated her. It seemed Lin Tao just needed a woman, he ended up being a crazy stalker anyway.

what got me about that was they just basically said, Oh Well, just don't do it again and the idiot sister acted like she had done something so great even if she did have to apologize.

the last 3 mornings I've gotten up at 3 AM to watch the 3 epi to start my day, Coffee and Love's Ambition, what could be better than that...maybe a few more hours of sleep, but oh well.

one redeeming quality at least.

I've only seen a clip of that but was cheering like crazy. She put them all in their place.

The mother in Hidden Love is also the mother in Love Like the Galaxy and what a different character she plays in the two.

I'm with you. I understand that the life he was raised in probably led to a lot of this, how many times had his father told him that they should have just gotten rid of the child when he was born, how many times did dad tell ML he was disappointed in him. I would be questioning any overtures of love after being lied to like she did. We see why she did it and she never wanted to profit from those lies (at least IMO), I think she fell in love early on. For me, I'm hoping they come back together strong. I know that's not the opinion of many others, I just think I'm a romantic and want to see them together.

On Viki we're getting 3 a day.

these crazies in these shows threaten suicide all the time, this is the first time I've seen the male lead say "have at it", that was pretty entertaining. No suicide is not funny. Watching these cdrama ladies do it you know she's two impressed with herself to ever really take that step and this one was the best.

I think by sending him off to the netherland, LOL, that is going to sort of kick him in the rear and make him see life in a whole other way. I think (hope) that it will open his eyes to the love he had before him and he will start to grovel and try to get her back, after all his family now loves her and would be accepting of their reunion.

That sure happened when his dad voted against him coming on to the board and then sending him to some out of the way place to try to bring that back to life, which I sort of felt Dad was hoping wouldn't happen and it would show Jr. he wasn't all that.

I love the idea of redemption and love. Both of them lied, to me she was eaten up with guilt while he just saw his lie as a power play. I'm only on epi 13, so I haven't really seen all the "good stuff" yet (divorce, separation, etc), so I'm really hoping that they find their way back together.
