yeah it is a bit odd. we dont know how Sima invested into the company like was it shares setup or a loan. the 3 brothers supposedly ran the company into the red. the 4th brother offered him cash if tengda declares bankruptcy and he does.and yes he has to cease operations but he has no outstanding loans from banks and is able to pay the bills and salaries. so who is the receiver? the apartments would be the odd one out. alright for employees could be evicted but everyone else - I just don't see it happening. so in the last episode when hte news report is saying that J-whatever had foresight to invest in Tengda, at this point i think Sima just had no other options, he was stepping down anyway who is he going to put there instead of pq? there;s no one else. so when pq says i want tengda to be independent Sima doesn't really have a good choice.

someone mentioned alternative endings so yeah it is possible that beginning doesn't fit right. to me the beginning was always a bit weird - 8 years later with company success being is somewhere in stratosphere and still trying to play out that scenario with 5K salary... 🤣however, if it's a beginning of the novel and he just imagines how it would've went down 8 years later, i can live with that.

well i really enjoyed moonlit reunion, but if to ignore pretty good minis, my overall best for 2025 would be "love and sword" which happens to be tencent 😄

Sima said nothing to Ms Xin that his sons are coming to "play" and that they had to accommodate them.
given the set up i would believe them when they said that they are acting with Sima's approval.
in which case their authority should be greater than his.
even if their authority is equal to pq they have the right to initiate tasks for employees and do pretty much everything they did.

of course pq could've asked for an order along the lines of
"at the shareholders meeting it was decided ... and sima 1,2 or 3 will act as ceo... etc.,"
and if they didn't have it just let security drag them out of the building.
at the very least he could've prevented them to take over his office.

i guess pq & ms xin decided to not rock the boat, wait it out and get in touch with Sima.
they just didn't anticipate that he will be so hard to locate.

i think it's the beginning of novel he is writing in the last episode.

i'm guessing his investor deal is non standard, he just doesn't know wth is going on. he doesn't know if it's part of sima's plan or not. are they there to help him lose money given how much the project is in the green? he doesn't know the rest of the game. how the money gets into tengda was never revealed either, was it purchase of shares? given the set up i'd roll with it too.

he is just a troll with nothing better to do.suggesting that someone would pay him is just weird.

well he obviously loves them all as a father. they are not short of anything, got the best education money could buy. but, it's clear to sima that they are unable to work as a team and the group will not survive. as far as him valuing their business capabilities i can't say. like the most praise they got from him was that "they are not pushovers". which to me is the same as calling them "difficult"- doesn't really apprise their business abilities. anyway, i don't think there are truly callous characters here.

i'm just on e3 and it was kind of obvious that there is some connection because he wanted to rent a place in that hu tong. was thrown off a little later but back to normal normal.

that's how i understand it. one thing though is that Sima Ming was not necessarily expected to be be enriched even more than he is now. he is hoping that Teng Da would preserve his main group of companies, which is the legacy (well his and his deceased partners).

i would assume the opposite. there must've been a shit storm of phone calls and messages and every other communication medium that could be used including pigeons.

anyway statement looks like an attempt to calm everyone down and de-escalate. so they just repeat what her studio says. but without seeing what was said exactly i cant judge how malicious it was for real. in any case someone had to be thrown under a bus.

well all rules are made up 😂 regardless yeah most industries have rules which are not explicit but evolved overtime and are usually a result of on and off hostilities and weird competition. if there are expectations that she has to it on dy & wb and quotas are set then that's what she has to abide by. herself, her crew seem to be aware of it. because the statement says that she didn't violate the rule, not that she knew nothing about it. so most likely the situation escalated as a result of communication issues between various parties involved.

so the parties are PR team & mgmt in tencent/wetv or qq whatever, her agency, herself, PR teams & mgmt in youku & weibo and probably a few agencies of other actors/actresses (i'm forgetting sponsors and advertisers who bid/pay for keywords, pay fro traffic on their subscriptions ). it's not a small thing, plenty of opportunity for someone to say something odd and kick off "chinese whispers" game. by red and black i was referring to a big screen, which shows real time "engagement report" (something like the real time report at Sky Fire only there it was red & blue :D)

we'll have to agree to disagree on who gets hit hardest. i suspect it should be even as it depends on agencies really. lots of industries have implicit rules & agreements which were knocked out in a bar or something. here it's probably common enough knowledge, even her company was aware to not post more than 3, they argued that she didn't. anyway it's only one side of the story. i just projected how the conflict could've developed. because regardless of personal feelings they are not going to sabotage their own work and bonuses (unless they have similar deal as PQ here, oh, the irony 😂).

without knowing full details to me "chinese whispers" 😂 is the likeliest scenario. so the sequence of events could be like this:

someone sees a count of posts going red on a dashboard, tells it to their manager,

manager gets in touch with wetv and says "wth?",

in response it will be "what, we know nothing about it, she is improvising, i'll let my superiors know".

the person who made the call passes that on to his superior. he says get in touch with her agency tell them we are annoyed.

a person makes a call, what the person at the agency understands it as "they are threatening us" i'll let her know that PR team at wetv called her a bad apple in the industry and fat".

i'm not saying that that's what happened, but i wouldn't surprised 😂

i dont think it has anything to do with male/female, they are all the same. backed by agencies which woudl be watching each other very closely. i'm guessing stuff like this happens often. like, competition is ultra-intense in this industry in general and in china it's like one person trips there are hundreds just as good ready to take their place. in this case maybe she wrote the 4th post to wish someone happy birthday someone said hang on ... that counts as extra marketing, get in touch with ... and off we go. in the end someone on minimal wage who picked up the phone will be made a scapegoat. just the nature of the business i guess.

i'm sure there are facilities to make it accessible unattended and at any time. it's not like they are going to be shooting it for real 😂
