Title No Pain No Gain Spoiler
I'm not aware of any issues. There could be a number of reasons for the gap. For instance, the drama just started…
happened with my page in the 90s.

https://mydramalist.com/780406-zai-jian-ye-you-shu

they cancelled an episode and didn't update calendar, i think it was halfway mark, then after alleged issue was resolved they did another delay when express was dropped. and yeah it took a week for it to be completely out. anyway pity that some geniuses were unscathed.
i swore many times to not watching anything while it airs, but yeah can't do proper binges now, so just going along.

anyway the post was from Dorothy, i didn't verify it, so i'll just copy paste it below:

Reason why it's delayed possibly:
Wang Yuwen's studio issued an official statement on social media early January 25th, announcing the complete halt of all promotional activities for her new drama "My Page in The 90s" starring alongside Chen Xingxu.

The statement reads: "The publicity team we've been working with repeatedly showed unprofessional and careless behavior, and their actions exceeded the boundaries of normal collaboration: spreading malicious rumors about the artist without basis and trying to sow discord between us and our partner platforms. The drama's publicity team deliberately spread rumors about the actress without grounds. It's unacceptable to let this slide! However, the artist's wholehearted dedication was betrayed by the publicity team."

According to the studio's statement and further details, the publicity team's violations were egregious: Wang Yuwen posted two promotional posts per day as required, but was unfairly accused of "violating the unwritten rule of no more than three posts per day," and was deliberately claimed to have "planned the content herself," causing the platform to hold the artist's team accountable.

Simultaneously, the publicity team spread false info to partner platforms like Weibo and Youku, wrongly accusing Wang Yuwen of "deliberately sowing discord between platforms," and attempting to damage the artist's relationship with the platforms.

What's more shocking is the PR team had no direct contact with Wang Yuwen before personally defaming her, deliberately twisting the artist's collaboration efforts as "personal manipulation."

Two hours later, the drama's team issued an apology, saying the team involved in the dispute had been fired and their collaboration terminated.

this hiatus simply killed the pace.
other than the most likely that they are trying to force people to get express. is anyone aware of a controversy or something between tencent & film crew? like there was a similar delay with wang yu wen this year. turned out they were fighting with tencent's marketing dept. anything like that?

You have to get express package, otherwise wait until the 17th.
it's a pity express can't be downloaded, so they cant be shared.

I agree. Some of my favorite works were adapted into film or series, and although it was different than I expected…
i believe you 🤣

i thought visuals were excellent, actually didn't have a too big of an issue with the rest on your list. so, "Although I (and others) can spot these issue, hardcore fans of the ml could not"
must definitely include at least "hardcore fans of double happiness".

Harsh.. maybe some ppl don’t like how it deviated from the novel? I dunno, I’m enjoying.
for myself, i found a few episodes in the end were harsh.
i'm probably not the only one. i did rank those eps very low and thought of giving it a 9 but still ended up giving a 10 coz even though it's not something i like to see(in those eps) they were still done very well. and most of the drama is excellent. i admit there are some episodes i've watched quite a few times.

feels alright. plenty of angst to clear the air was kind of expected.so 3 episodes were harsh. the last episode…
this one i didn't mind paying for, i knew im going to get impatient. but express pisses me off because it can be watched only on a phone, so if kiss had them i'd watch it there instead even though i paid for it.

yeah, that start really kicked off a lot of questions and none of the answers made any sense. there's no way it could be kept unknown for that long and to top it off company looked like it had so much clout it probably would've been easy enough to bury mr sima & ms xin long time ago. although even without that when everyone is loaded he wouldn't starve if he rescinded contract. unless there was some supernatural dimension, but that wasn't going to happen. so yeah i'm very glad that that was not it.

come to think of it what annoyed me the most is that everyone had to leave the 4-walls block. like even if company is shutting down those people couldn't be evicted that fast.

overall if i'm going to watch that far into it i'll be stopping somewhere in e21.

They didn't yet.
But there were some situations which look promising.Their dynamic changes towards that anyway. Also everyone now knows who are the leads of the novel and tease them about it
so it's accepted by all that it's just a matter of time.

sima was looking for someone who would turn around the jing-something group, his main body of companies which is in decline.
PQ was not the only candidate and his "survival manual" what caught sima's attention.

mr sima is sick and the lads who turn up in teasers are his sons. they are trying to take over tengda because before sima passed out he said that tengda is the key to the rest of the group. so the 3 of them actually brought significant losses. almost bankrupting the company and sima is nowhere to be found. eventually they find him comatose in the hospital. fourth son turns up and he is on estranged streak so he wants to shut tengda down. and eventually convinces pq to do that. pq comes clean to the crew that his mission didn't align with theirs. eveyone is pissed off. next is that he gets his shit together, apologizes to everyone and the company bounces back.

sima comes over and says that pq doesn't have to lose money anymore just do whatever but sima still wants to stay in control. after some time pq refuses and says that the biggest asset of tengda isn't sima's money but the people. and he wants it to be out of the jing-whatever group. sima stepped down, his 4 sons took over but tengda became independent pq got 51% of share, 49% all the employess. pq goes off on a long holiday the lads manage tengda into profit. he comes back.,

then it ends with him in the cosmos club starting to write this novel. i assume the beginning of the drama is the novel he is writing.

yeah angst was to the level that screenwriter did in MHH's 2nd half, not sure if it was necessary in places. those 22 - 24 i'm unlikely to watch again ever. the last 2 were alright.

How is the ending guys?
feels alright. plenty of angst to clear the air was kind of expected.so 3 episodes were harsh. the last episode put everything in place. the start of the show was there to throw everyone off, it was actually the beginning of something else. i just finished it so my mind is a bit all over the place.

What time does the episodes and express release? I don't see it here
normally they release last 5 as express. so it should've been today. but now could it be tomorrow? i suppose if they are making more money from people who pay per episode as opposed to getting full express they might decide to just carry on and release nothing.

ml thinking that sima is just toying with him? looked very natural. sima kind of knows that he'll be back and…
well he aims for one result but gets another so i dont think it was ever the case of him being a prodigy of any sort. and he says it himself everything is luck & bad luck. i think he was picked because he is kind, considerate, not afraid to challenge status quo. so it was the "job security" rant that made him noiced.

sima never actually said that all his projects must lose money. he can pick any project he wants he just wouldn't get paid. so he was given an opportunity to make world a better place, but he is still focused on his sacrifice instead of realizing that that's what it is.

i don't think it would break the rules if PQ just does an interview and says for some superstitious reason he can only accept minimal wage. but, he can accept cash gifts. so everyone would know he is broke, including his parents so he wouldn't have to hide and i'm pretty sure as time goes on i'd say he'll be able to throw enough hints that there's an implied gift tax in the bonuses they receive or if companies want to cooperate ... they would probably know what to do anyway. so yeah it's neither a hint nor disclosure of agreement details. i suppose they could come up with another rule but it would be too late at this stage.

I don't get the constant comparison between the novel and the adaptation. People should know by now that the government…
yeah i agree. like in the novel the focus of comedy is his business ventures backfiring while drama focuses on his psychological issues. added benefit, drama hints that his libido isn't completely absent.

isn't 13ep feel little forced dramatic moment in comedy? this sima should give him some bonus for existing and…
ml thinking that sima is just toying with him? looked very natural. sima kind of knows that he'll be back and if he doesn't well then this guy doesn't pass the test of jealousy & greed. sima would just continue looking. that's what i think anyway.
