Nah. He doesn't. Not sure what ep you're on but it's never too late to start hating him.
oh i totally agree with you. it had everything i hate in dramas and some stuff i didn't know i did. i guess TLOSL made a lot of stuff like this unwatchable :D
Someone here once mentioned that this comment section isn't as hateful as others, and those were the truest words…
Fine.Fine. If someone posts that they find Furong annoying or they love Mofung I won't interpret it as an invitation to discuss ... no matter how much I'd love to ๐

If market analysis showed that pretty boy's crying is going to bring more money ๐ค... who am I to criticize. I generally like ZLS's way of portraying characters in what I've seen her so far. I do find her a bit harsh on the eye occasionally but credit where credit is due she's another hardworking girl with great business sense. I thought last immortal was alright. It was fairly engaging but i felt like I wanted to get through the story. It does require perception shift to avoid comparing apples and oranges sort of thing. But yeah there was a bit of a side quest in side quest in side quest inception sort of thing alright :D
It popped up a bit in condor heroes various versions. I only now recognised it when I saw it in the last immortal as well. But of course it will be known as xingyun's place ๐

maybe they thought his rope flying abilities are fantastic :D I know i know, maybe i exaggerated it a little. but yeah it's probably how young actors are taught to look. I'm watching the last immortal have to skip a lot - that frigging gu jin pulls faces mofung could only dream about (like even his lower lip trembles) ๐

Sorry if I came across too intense - it's just a friendly banter. But he was in love, and a villain a from the start; and dies loving her having to some extent atoned for his wrongs. We were shown how he became a villain, what he did to his friends, how he resisted bad influences, what she meant to him. It would be pretty weird if after everything he did for him to end up with Rou Ya.
Or do you mean the other, slightly cut, love story could've been explored further ๐ค

Generally how guys show affection is a first thing that jumps out at me. Maybe Mofung was supposed to be portrayed exactly like this, in which case actor did a stellar job - like Tugg Speedman in "Simple Jack" ๐คฃ

In fairness he was alright when he was possessed by FS. I don't want to rationalize my hatred too much. But, when he had to look affectionate, etc., I thought : the only thing missing now is saliva drooling from left corner of his mouth ๐ฅด

i know what you mean that "retarded puppy" look putt me off in the first 5 mins of ep01, the rest of the story i could get the sadness to some extent until i've seen his "young self" like he was a prick back then as well... until he saw the ribbons waving in the wind like flags... ๐คฎbut honestly i feel the actor just didn't do a good job.
Still in a drama slump after TLOSL. Almost watched everything with LGX as well ๐๐ Repeatedly rewatched TLOSL.…
So far I've been starting and stopping 8 or 9 dramas. Only The Last Immortal caught my attention for longer than 4 eps (on e9 now ) but something is telling me it'll be going on hold as well.
I do hate when they add rhetorical questions but it covers more than the first 6eps, does not give out blatant spoilers and does not sound like google translate or chatgpt. Anyway, I'm content.

But I feel endings/troupes etc., like this are not exclusive to xianxia.

Well you can forget about Furong. Bei Xiao Yan is the maximum mofo can hope for.
