>>> "Why leave their opinions nested under mine then?" Because that's how forums generally work and that's why there's a reply button under every post. Posting an opinion in comments is an invitation for replies. Reviews would be the place where people don't reply but can comment on your review. But you must've known it already. Like, you've been fairly active on MDL for way longer than me, very odd if you didn't notice it. I suppose you got your reasons why you thought that posting something along the lines of "they don't know what great chemistry is..." and not expect some sort of a response. In fairness all replies were very restrained.
>>> "I was just minding my own business, and got this thrown at me" Well, it's not what happened. You brushed off a comment with what you thought was a succinct derisive response. I happened to be completely ignorant of slang like this. So, by the time you rushed to explain what you meant by "salty". I already came up with an explanation. It's just unfortunate that now I will associate that image with you.
>>> "talk amongst those with whom they agree" Where's the fun in that? Check out excellent "godscow" posts from 3 weeks ago and "Kai Xu Min" from 2 months ago. They would be kind of on your side, both very different but both are a pleasure to read albeit for different reasons. I don't agree with most of it, but it's nice to get different perspective.
>>> "doing their best to belittle my opinion" Well, I'm not sure if that's the case, like your opinion as you presented it could be boiled down to that only you can tell what great chemistry is. So, very little to work with.
>>> "and exert peer pressure" It's been 4 days and 4 people bothered to acknowledge your opinion not exactly a setup for being "stunning & brave". Maybe I just don't see it.
That was my only critique concerning this drama. I didn’t get why she was always so mean to it (XZ later on,…
I thought the pig conversation was the same as the one they had about Xiao He - only with roles reversed. So he was dropping hints about who he is. Although he was afraid to let her know openly but he wanted her to know. Not sure if it was even to tease.

Ah no, to me Shushu didn't create an impression of a child. When you saw Shen Li in the form of a chicken she acted exactly the same. So maybe he was one of the immortals who did something bad and couldn't take on the human form anymore (shrug).
I think other than the reference to PA, the "animal" theme (XZ likes animals except for those "corrupted" ones)…
Political incorrectness by passed me completely. If we accept premise of underwater kingdom as shown, how would one explain people eating fish. To get sensitive and start projecting those things is probably going a tad too far. I might draw the line at someone cooking a mermaid. As far as Shushu goes, to compare his lot to what Tom suffered in Jerry's hands makes me think he had simply a wonderful time. His portrayal does remind me a lot of PA. Was it intentional? probably not. Generally, characters like this are created for merchandise purposes (Shushu stressball?) and honestly I would not be surprised to see "Angry Shushu vs Possessed Pigs" game coming out. Anyway, it was fun talking about it nonetheless.
It's a pretty obscure reference but the parrot apparently does (did?) serve a purpose - it perhaps didn't translate…
Personally I saw no regret there either. it's just he doesn't know how her feelings will progress if she remembers her humiliation at his hands in the current context. Like if XY.and her stayed for another 30 years how often would she nag him about it.
When he was weak and she "broke" his arm it made her feel like she's bullying him.now that he's strong she might remember it differently without pink glasses and push him j to a pond or something 😂

Well as far as I recall everybody found him insanely annoying and he knew that he was annoying. He was purposefully condescending to everyone too. yeah it's either shaving him or making a soup out of him. They loved him so the worst that happened was that he got a silly haircut.

Well, let's put it like this. He got it off way easier than the pig which was affected by miasma. And even if we ignore PA,he was talking shit most of the time. The worst thing Shen Lí did was gave him a bath and a haircut. XZ shut his mouth and yes he was a little bit forgotten but in fairness he was a bit of a drama queen and exaggerated the hell out of it. Don't forget he is sentient up to magical level so he knew what he was doing.
I also don't like that her suitor, who didn't want to marry Shen Li, in episode 23 his sister, really physically…
Furong is a real trouper. Albeit he loves the good life he doesn't shy away from getting his hands dirty and when the need comes for him to step up he doesn't shy away from it. No need to pity him - he's strong enough 😀

For me it is 😆
In PA there was a similar character. Some retard decided to implement it via the most "magical" CGI imaginable. Like literally a fuckin cartoon on screen.
PA was pretty dark & heavy show. That bird, alone, for me,brought all down to 0. Even the cliffhanger/sudden unreasonable stop did not disappoint me as much.

I'm sure Furong was through worse. It's not easy to be number 1 lover and 2nd mist popular deity in 3 realms. Anyway, Youlan isn't a woman, she's his sister - completely different species.
