As usual it gets weaker with every episode
While I enjoyed the first two episodes even with its weired story, it goes down the hill from there. The blood pork soup song was really entertaining and funny for me. But overall the story lacked substance and depth. Why drop the alien aspect of it? Why can they be only be 1000 years old which is against common "knowledge" and also why can't it be in the established realm that vampires can convert a human into a vampire? That this is low budget production is evident, because most scenes are either on the rooftop or in the two rooms or Yohs home, with some scenes outside. Only the wardrobe was a bit fancy. As usual all the comedy slices in thai series have very silly soundeffects which are just annoying.
The show is not bad per se, but it left sooooo much to be desired. The supporting cast (especially the girls) are great imho because the main leads together don't have the chemistry you expect from a BL. Other low budget shows try to compensate with more mature scenes but here they are completly absent. Just one kissing scene is disappointing for a BL. Overall a mixed bag which could have been skipped alltogether.

just a cute little story...
While Korea is flooding us with short mini-series, that's one of the few shorts from Japan. While nothing earthstattering, it was done quite well. Both actors seem a bit rough around the edges but they really tried hard. As it's often the case with JBLs, there is not a real kiss in it, which is a shame. The subtitles are also nothing to write home, were the timing was off or some sentences are not translated completely, but everyone should get the gist of what is said. The only fault is that phone-screens were not translated at all.
With a playtime of roughly 39 minutes it was entertaining and I think we should support such independent small productions. You can watch this series on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rDr99DNMhw&list=PLmz1FNoG1zYHVHiX7zTnjlixJi5YmDE4R&index=4

Cringe fest...
I have not much to say, but hell was that cringe as fuck...If the story would only contain mom, the two couples, then it could have been a decent show... But all the support cast are 100% cringe material. So when we see only the MLs or the side couple there are some nice scenes, but overall it's not good. No clue what the screenwriters and director smoked but it was too much for my taste. As lovely as the actors are this show is sadly far from good.

more a soft porn than a drama
So this is a typical sexual explicit manga done in a movie...That's how some woman fantasize about guy relationships.
The ingredients are, a straight porn actor turning gay, a close-in person who has a trauma after the death of his mother, because his Dad told him he was gay, but loved his mother and he is the fruit of their love. And of course that dad has a younger partner. 🤣
The dynamics between the dad and his partner was the most interesting part of the movie. I could have lived without most of the explicit scenes except those story relevant. This is a low budget production, so there are only six people in this movie. So for example the bar feels very steril because most of the time it's empty, except when a makeup artist for Towa goes there.
The story is simple and of course pure fantasy. There is no drama except when the jelaousy kicks in, they break up, but of course the get together again because... fantasy. It does not really makev sense that Towa disappears for some time and reappears later one, especially because they never talked about their feelings and Takato never mentions that he does not like Towa working as a porn actor. It was an afterthought in the end of the movie but it felt shallow.
If you like such movies/series good for you, but for me, it was a waste of time. Half the time it's NC scenes and the other half is ok-ish. I'm more or less offended because such is not gay life and it should not be depicted like this. Bad enough that most mangas are like this, but it sells. It also shows the double standard in japanese society, it's ok to love yaoi manga, but the son should never turn gay. They did not even try to improve the manga by giving the characters and the story much more depth which could have been done and many series still do. So for me, it's a disappointing movie without substance.

For the fangirls...
I suppose it's for the fangirls otherwise nothing earthshattering happened... Yes you can love one another even if you have confronting personalities... and every couple is different. Nothing anyone needs to get told by any episode, as this should be obvious. So, it was an ok watch. It had it's moments and some of them were very silly, but still enjoyable for the most part. It does not add to the story and the side couples are for the most time just an extra with not much to do. I would say you could skip this and would not miss a thing, on the other hand it's not really bad. The best advice I can give is deceide for yourself 🤣.

Much better than the series, but not exciting...
The bad stuff first: Intel & nVidia placement. No gamer (who really calls himself that) would ever buy Intel in 2025 and no serious PvP Gamer would buy a 600W graphics card. The worst thing: We never see the "new" computer - and the "old" one neither, he only plays on his mobile. His computer was quite essential (for him) in the first season. The usual "funny" soundeffects are still annoying but where used less. And snow in LA is a bit stupid, but I'm sure they meant Boston. The good: They do not act childish most of the time, there is some seriousness behind their conflict. So at least they did mature. I hope, they keep that up in the 2nd season.
Overall: It's a nice special, but nothing stunning or emotional challenging. There is conflict, there is fluff and of course there is an tasteful intimate scene. I can say it was exactly what I expected.

from very sad to very happy and eveything inbetween
After Mizukis death everyone is struggling to come to grips with reality. Her parents are devasted, her not be boyfriend is and of course her daughter Umi is. For Natsu her ex, his world changes daramatically after he learns he has a daughter and his struggles just begin. His GF also struggles with a decision she felt she should not have made, but she is also the reason Umi exists, even when both of them never knew each other. While the do not force each other to be a "happy" family they bond through Umi in another way. This show is an exceptional series depicting the feelings of all persons involved. I would call it a tear-dropper. We get everything from the happy moments to the sadest moments and everything inbetween. The only thing we don't get is a conventional happy familiy, which is not a bad choice at all. In the end all of them support each other having bonded through Umi which is a very happy end indeed.
I can only recommand this show. If you are sensitive you may watch this kind of drama with friends and/or family because it could wear you down. The only thing I don't understand is, why Umi-chan is not a main lead because acting in such heavy stuff must be vey challenging for a seven year old girl. Besides her the cast was exceptional, the cinematography top notch and everything was executed to perfection.

serious, refreshing, cute story with a lacking end
The first gripe I have with this series is the actor of Taichi. While he is not bad, his voice is nothing compared to the actor of the movie version,. Now 7 years later they could have used the same actor because Kohei also did not look like a "freshman".. And second the finale was a disapointment especially if you have read the manga. It was Taichi going to Kohei not the reverse, it was him to confess and in the manga they had THE kiss we were all waiting for. Which would have made this series perfect, but for reasons unknown they changed it. ðŸ˜The rest of the series is very good with some lengths but compared to all the thai crap we had this year, this was a well written script, refreshing, serious but still cute. Overall this is a recommandation and worth your while even with a finale which was not as good as it should have been.

OMG was that bad and unnecessary
While the series was bad, this was even worse. It added nothing to the story, except to have two leads of the original thai "Love in the Air" in it.
But the story was just a fever dream and cringe af. They did try to take a book from the thai adaptation to give us fan-service, but it failed. The leads don't have much chemistry. I was just thinking the whole time "WTF?".
There is not much to say, besides, it was trash and a waste of money (to film) and a waste of my time.

It ends with a cliffhanger....
As always I'm too late with the review, because I thought there will come more episodes.... there will be a "season 2" but now they stoppend in the middle of it.The positive first: While most thai shows have a trash, meaningless story, they at least tried to make it a simple, but an good one. The actors also did their best. The only downside is the lack of enviroment with missing extras in the background with no noises in the background and mostly small sets. Of course, this is a low low budget effort, but done right in the most places.
Overall it was quite entertaining and I hope the "2nd season" will be completed soon and you can binge watch all of it!

Unrealistic imho...
When you are seven years together, I don't get it, that you have not learned to communicate with each other yet. I did not feel really engaged with the story because for me it was unbelievable. I just don't get it, that they had the problem not much much earlier in their relationsship... Imho when you do not communicate your grievances a relationsship is not a relationsship, it's living parallel to each other not with each other.I can't fault the actors and even the production quality is decent for such a low budget show. It's ok to binge-watch this and maybe you get more out of it, but for me it was just average, not really bad, but the story made not much sense for me.

I was disappointed with this japanese BL
While the first episode did hype me up, it does go down till the finale.I would have know more about their past, I would have skipped the assistants love interest and I would concentrated more on charater growing because this series was so short and had too much unnecessary stuff in it, it does not explain Miyatas change very well. The chemistry between the grown up leads was medicore at best, the "young" ones had a more believable chemistry imho. Senpai did well, but Miyata lacked a lot. Also the kissing and "hot scenes" were not that believable for me.
While production value was good, the story and it's execution lacked too much for me, which makes me disappointing in this japanse BL. It's not bad, but it could have been so much more.

underwhelming rushed finale... and too condensed
As it is with every thai series that approaches a good story it rains down 10 ratings & reviews. Of course it's neither a masterpiece and far from a 10. First we have all the changes to the manwha. Sky had a natural phobia of cameras and being filmed - so they added the bullying just for "dramatic effect". Was it necessary? Of course not, there are people with all kinds of phobias and many have them without a trauma to begin with. Jay was far more of a red flag in the manwha than in the series. So they tried to tune it down which may help to sell the series. But even the downtuned version of Jay is a red flag especially forcing himself on Sun. That's sexual harrassment. Sun lets it happen because he is broken and guilt ridden. There is no apology or any talk about it in the whole series. Do we need toxic behaviour in every third BL? Nope, they could have made Jay not that way, he could have revealed that he knows the little bunny from the beginning and they could have made it a more romantic story. And of course we have also a lot of rape in the series, with explicit representation, which is problematic at best. Then we have the ridiculous finale. First Jay could not have found Sun stabbed because he went to the USA. What may be doable on a tight timebudget from Korea but doesn't work from Thailand. First, there is no direct flight from Bangkok to the USA. The only destination in north america is Vancouver which is a 13 hour flight and then you have to switch planes to a destination in the USA. Or you can go over China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Phillippines, Singapore to the USA. Such a flight takes around 19 to 24 hours depending on the destination. When he left at 7 in the morning and he found him at night the next day (we don't know the time because it's dark quite early in Thailand) - that does not compute. They needed one day extra, but the scriptwriters were sloppy and did not research because nobody will notice. Sorry, I may be a nobody but I do notice.
Also the resolution of all the evil people were hilarious. First, when you claim a wrongful transfer of shares, you can't do it just so. There should have been a court order, we didn't see that mail or any documents attached to it. Also lazy writing. The old guy was the only one who died "properly". But to have Sunny to be raped - even when is a murder - it's nothing what I would consider a fair punishment. And Mr. President shot by his driver? How cliché do you want it? Yes! I guess the driver worked for the old guy, but the old guy was already dead when that happenend, did nobody in his organisation inform all the others? And of course that was not in the Manwha at all, that was a really lazy way to resolve an "open" end. The production run out of time. This is one of the few thai series which should have had 12 episodes.
So the positive: It was never boring. For their first roles the MLs did very well for most of their scenes, chemistry worked most of the time, alone they worked perfectly. Production quality was top notch and even the OST was great. The negative: The changes to the manwha. If you want to change things, change it completely but not half assed (Sky, Jay, confrontation @Dreams). Of course I didn't like the comedic bits inbetween. They broke the series vibe and where unnecessary. We don't need comedy in every fucking thai BL.
For a Thai BL, this was great, but the lazy writing is imho inherent in most thai scripts. It's was an entertaining watch, but as usual the finale fell flat. I have no idea why this was not a 12 episodes series where all the "loose ends" could have been resolved in a better way and all the crap series have 12 episodes of boredom. When you can live with a red flag ML and want an interesting story in a thai BL, you can watch without wasting your time.

A fluffy story with fatal flaws...
This is a fantasy BL every K-Pop fan was waiting for. A K-Pop idol meets one of his die-hard fans and so the story begins. Too bad there was no focus on the music too and what we got was not that impressive. The series failed to make this a deep story about the struggles about idols. So we get a superficial story about idols but quite a nice romance. And when we think all will end well, we got the drama of our idol being a jerk. If it was me, I think I would not stayed that calm. This part of the story was ill adviced imho. They could have removed it and put more energy (and writing) in the second couple, because we got nearly nothing from their past and it would be much more interesting if they have explored that part. They chat in the finale and we do not see how the reconciled either - WTF? Another irk for me is that this is just about the idol without his other group-members. Where were they? Why is there no interaction with them. That felt completely unrealistic. So overall, I'm a bit disappointed. I have no complains about the acting or chemistry or the production quality at all. I feel like the story is too flat. Using soundeffects does not make scenes more funnier as we all know. Of course they should have invested also more in the music to create an OST which could be remembered.
It's not a bad drama but it's not a stellar one either. It has more good sides than bad, so there is no reason not to watch it, especially if you are into the fluffy stuff.

sad & beautiful with amazing chemistry and top-notch cinematography
For an idol Kamimura Kenshin had an amazing debut in his main role. Both leads had an amazing chemistry, subtle facial expressions or not so subtle facial expressions which cought me in episode 1. The sensiblity with all their inime scenes filmed was stunning. The story was captivating and it was excruciating to wait for the next episode. Oh my god did I wish this series had been released with all episodes at once. The characters were detailed and their personalities completly different. Motojima Junsei as Jin also showed great skill, the introvert with only two friends, overthinking anything and struggeling to come out of his shell. Haruki has "friends" but is not close to anyone, hides his struggles and is abused at home. He fears to become like his father and so he always decides not to fight back, takes blame for things he never did and is generally an outcast by most people. Jin does not understand Haruki, he knows of the abuse, but subconsciously he knows Haruki is not a bad guy. And then Haruki is bold kissing Jin a lot, never by force, but denies Jin the word for his feelings which does confuse Jin a lot. You feel the tension and their struggles with each other. And when you think all is well, it is not. Of course this a BL so we get a happy end.
There are some things I did not like. Jin was not open with his friends It was never shown that he told them about his love but it was implied, otherwise why did he invite his friends for the movie made by Haruki? His film is about two boys who seperate to meet again when adults btw. The second one is that the finale felt underwhelming. While the beginning was good the middle and end was lukewarm including the kissing scenes. I had tears in my eyes through all episodes from 1-9 but only in the beginning of episode 10. That's the only reasons why it was not perfect for me. Update: The "special" epsiode (sometimes labeled episode 11) does not solve the issue that Jin keeps in the closet with his friends even when Haruki said he had a crush on Jin but circumvent the reason. So either his friends are stupid and don't get the drift or it's a huge plothole.
The cinematography and direction was on point. This is a series you should binch-watch, the 10 episodes at around 22 minutes playtime will be gone faster than you can imagine and are a delight to watch. While it seems to be going slow everything was made with a tought behind it. Again a great japanese BL which makes thai shows looking very lame and underwhelming (with few exceptions). Overall this is a must see and was one of the best in 2024.
