In LFY they both clearly care about each other a lot, but the repeated lack of communication, emotional avoidance and push in pull was super exhausting. I barely managed to finish Never Ending Summer, and they released this right after, and with a lot of the same emotional turbulence....I'm just not really enjoying the combination of all this, plus the freaking step siblings trope needs to put under lockdown 😂

Out of KTTP and BOP, I feel like KTTP has the more balanced dynamic. Granted, KTTP literally starts with the FL being in love with someone else, and it takes her a while to move on from that and start developing feelings for the ML. The ML does a lot for her while she's getting there, but once they actually commit to each other, their bond becomes really heartfelt. They both turn into each other’s ride-or-die, and honestly, it’s pretty great. That said, it’s still ongoing, so who knows if they’ll throw in some unnecessary drama later - hopefully not.
BOP, on the other hand… well, even though I’m absolutely loving the visuals (aka the ML 😂), it’s basically the chronicles of a devoted shameless simp trying to melt the heart of an ice princess. The leads do communicate for the most part, which I appreciate, but we’re already on episode 24 and the FL is barely giving him crumbs of affection. I do feel like this one might test your patience. They’re both green flags when it comes to the relationship, though, and I’m really curious to see how the FL will act once she finally realizes she’s in love with him too.

I was somewhat indifferent towards the romance because I didn't feel the chemistry, but maybe it was intended that way since it's more like a youth/sports drama.
