I felt like it went downhill more and more in the second half. At one point I didn't even care about anyone anymore,…
Haha I was actually ok with her during the first conflict, even tho she did hold the grudge for way too long, but she did get on my nerves a lot later on...I honestly gave up on shipping the leads together, they're just better of separately
I felt like it went downhill more and more in the second half. At one point I didn't even care about anyone anymore, just wanted it to be over 🤣😭 We do have a happy ending for the leads and some of the other characters.
in her past life, since she was married to that one prince, did she know the ML?? because they’re brothers..…
In my understanding, they mentioned that due to ML's weakness and illness since young, he was recuperating at a temple, since he was secluded they did not cross paths in her past life.
I don't know why I have a feeling that this one's gonna have a sad ending 🥲 i mean the scene where shen xihe…
I read this a long time ago, but it's a happy ending in the novel, the ML is gone for 8 years I think, to get cured from the poison. During that time the FL is taking the role of the Empress and also raises their son
Is there a chance in hell this is one of the rare balanced equal otps? Or should I just go back to rewatching…
Haha, I actually think this one is a little closer to a balanced OTP, but only a little 😂
They start as enemies, then become friends with a very ride-or-die dynamic. The FL is sincere early on, but the ML betrays her trust (for solid reasons), then spends several episodes trying to win her back while she refuses to forgive easily—but he stays loyal throughout.
They’re not officially together yet as of episode 18, so I can’t judge the couple dynamic. So far it feels more balanced than NES —they both care about, protect, and support each other.
Not a perfect 50/50 though: the ML falls first and gradually gets more focused on her, while the FL is still on her own growth path, so their emotional pacing is different. Still, it doesn’t feel like he’s doing all the chasing - she genuinely cares about him, stands by him, and puts effort into their friendship.
I literally started this yesterday and somehow I'm already caught up. 😭 It's actually so good! The beginning had me raising an eyebrow because it was random as hell, but once it gets going? It gets going. I'm fully invested now. 😅 The episode cuts are definitely noticeable (RIP smooth transitions 💀), but honestly not enough to pull me out of the story. I'm seated, your honor. 👏
