1. Mian Tang (FL) is the group's leader and the ML's mortal enemy. However, due to partial amnesia, she has forgotten that part of her past. She and Zi Yu developed feelings for each other while living in the mountains.

2. Zi Yu was not the real leader of the group; the FL was. However, Zi Yu is the SML, but his role was very limited in the novel, which focuses heavily on the FL and ML's love story. I'm unsure how the drama adaptation will handle this.

She fits the role of Lui Mian Tang. In the novel, she’s a stunning beauty who turns head wherever she goes a got the cold and aloof General Cui whipped to an inch of his life. lol

FL escaped from an arranged marriage to live the life of a carefree female bandit. However, she was betrayed, injured, and left for dead. When the ML found her, she had lost all memory of her life as a bandit and only remembered up to the point of her arranged marriage.

Since she never saw her intended husband, she naturally assumed the ML was her husband. Instead of clarifying, the ML let her believe they were married to use her as bait to catch the leader of her former bandit group. But things get complicated when he falls deeply in love with her.

They're two consenting adults playing roles where the age gap actually makes perfect sense.

While the plot seems pretty basic, the show has great cinematography and interesting characters. Interestingly, our ML has developed a craving for blood. I wonder how that will affect his relationship with the FL.

It's pretty obvious it's heading in that direction.

Same. I hope they portray Mian Tang's duality well.

August 8 it is! Cui Xing Zhou and Mian Tang's relationship will be fun to watch. He's a ruthless general on the battlefield but whipped to an inch of his life at home. She's a perfect "wife" at home, but a ruthless businesswoman and a brutal killer on the street. lol

I love that story. lol

We need new tags for Dramas so some of us can avoid female-centric dramas where the ML is completely emasculated in the name of love or female empowerment.

When LMT regains her memory as a bandit, she loses all the memories of her fake and real marriage with CXZ. Then we truly get a spicy love & hate relationship between those two.

It's fun when that happens. There's another pretty cool amnesia twist. Lol

Yup. It should be like that for the drama too. There's no reason not to follow the novel's ending. It's perfect.
