It still doesn't excuse her cheating and cruelty. There's no moral equivalence between what the PWX and LR did. If the roles were reversed, the rating for this drama would be like a 6, and PWX would universally be seen as the villain.

She took in a lover and humiliated her husband for 20 years based on an assumption. She had no concrete proof that he was cheating. If a man did that he'd be universally seen as the villain. There would be no room for context.

Therefore he deserved to be cheated on and humiliated for 20 years? What he did was dumb. What she did was evil and cruel.

I can't believe so many people are defending the degeneracy and cruelty of LR.

PWX's crime was being an idiot who couldn't communicate his feelings and intentions to his wife. He never cheated on her. What she did in response was cruel and humiliating.

Well said. She cheated on him and humiliated him based on a misunderstanding in their previous life. In this life, even after he explained his side of the story, he's the one groveling at her feet. She's horrible. I'm not sure how people can sympathize with her.

Only one of them is a cheater.

LR emotionally and physically cheated on PWX for 20 years with a castrated man. The humiliation she inflicted on PWX due to a misunderstanding (he never cheated on her with his childhood friend) is 1000% times worse than the humiliation SRQ suffered by being castrated. Although PWX isn't blameless, he wasn't the one who did the cheating. Now in his second life, he's groveling at her feet like he's one who's been castrated in this lifetime. He still feels like he has to compete with SRQ for LR's heart in their second life. If there ever were a cuckold country, PWX would be its supreme emperor. Sorry, but these types of male leads are extremely unappealing.

The drama also strongly implied physical cheating.

I've read the novel up until chapter 121. It's really good. I hope they do a good adaptation.

He never conveyed his emotions and she never tried to understand him. She simply made assumption and he didn't corrrect her. I hate the kind of miscommunication trope where the characters are reduced to idiots who forgot how to communicate.

I don't know how this unfolds in the novel. I find this kind of bad writing common in these shows. The writers struggle to create believable miscommunication tropes, often resorting to contrived scenarios or reducing characters to dummies. So FL cuckolded the ML with a castrated man for years over the wrong assumption that he loved SFL. And for 20 years the ML couldn't open his mouth and explain things? This is dumb.

The carriage scene in ep 11 started well with PWX pouring his heart out. However, the ending felt anti-climatic. LR chasing after PWX in the rain felt cliché, and her apology lacked genuine emotion. It felt emotionally flat compared to PWX's confession. A better option would have been for the PWX to leave and let his words gradually impact LR over the following days.

If you're going to use the miscommunication trope, make it believable rather than contrived. It's hard to buy into PWX struggling to express those feelings in their past life, and LR jumping to conclusions about PWX's feelings for QZZ just seems unrealistic.

I fast forward through all of those.

That scene pissed me off so much. It failed to capture what was supposed to be a emotionally weighty moment.

They are both at fault for how things ended in their previous life. PWX had another woman in his heart and didn't fight for LR, while LR was too proud to try to work things out with PWX and decided to cheat on him both emotionally and physically (yes, she cheated because they were still married). I reject the logic that because they decided to be just allies, they were free to see other people. No, they were still MARRIED.

However, in this lifetime, we can see that PWX is remorseful and trying to make up for his past mistakes. LR, however, is not. In this lifetime, it appears she has no remorse for cheating on him with a castrated man and having him killed. Worse, in episode 10 we have PWX volunteering to be a cuckold once again. I mean WTH? While I enjoy their playful banter, I struggle to sympathize with the female lead, respect the male lead, and root for their new relationship.

I need to see true remorse from LR. I need to see both parties fighting for each other this time around (not the one-sided crap we have now).
