I watched a lot more episodes of this torture than you. Regret it wholeheartedly. I watched more episodes because I thought he will teach a lesson to both the ex as well ad the ML and they will slowly reveal the downsides of being trapped with a rapist and this will actually be darkbut...they started whitewashing him and turning it into some romance saga . I was done!

Your point is not only empathetic and right... but it also shows what's wrong with the direction as well as writing of this drama. This drama is romaticising and whitewashing a rapist. Since they cannot counter your valid points and reviews, some other tactics are used. 1) Calling you homophobic (as if calling out rapist romance and identifying brutality agaist men is homophobia). When that doesn't work, they have 2) You are just a Cdrama hater. There's also the most hilarious one 3) MDL is bad and full of haters because ppl romanticising a rapist are surely "lovers". 💀 Every excuse is used to avoid the real issue.
What's more heartbreaking is that these are young kids...and you can see that they are learning from these things. They are attacking people calling out the director and writers. Abuser whitewashers have gathered support through these fans and made them believe that anyone who criticises these things is a hater. True BL lovers "understand" them and ship them. They are making money off of these kids and they can sell anything to them as long as it has enough fetishization for dopamine. I think you are quite young. A friend is also a loved one...and here, both are important...especially if one is willing to be a literal human protector.
