What happened to Long Er ?? Spoil me please!!!! Now that I've read this, I can't take the suspense and thrill,…
Major spoiler here- caution everyone!
He's fine physically, but Xian has to break his heart to keep from having her cover blown. But Tianai acts so perfectly and in so much anguish just before he leaves- you'll see how much she ripped out her own heart as well. I've never seen Crystal Zhang give a more powerful performance than she did as she yelled at him to leave and never come back (through the door, all of this without being able to see each each other). π’ Okay, no more spoilers...except that Ep 11 continues the emotional aftermath for Xian in the first 15 minutes. This series is soooo well written and acted!
Just finished Ep. 10 and was blown away byTianai's performance; especially in the last 15 minutes or so. Xian and Long Er had me on the verge of tears, and it takes a lot for me to cry. Both deserve Best Actor and Actress for that performance alone, imo.
As a long time major fan of Tianai, I want someone out there to (please!) offer her more lead roles like this. And overall, every episode gets better than the last, too. Kudos to the cast and crew!
Li Yitong and Joseph Zeng- it's really hard to find a better match than those two, imo! Both have great humor and sense of timing. I'm really looking forward to this series. The rest of the cast looks awesome too...π―
Seems like I've been waiting forever for this to release- so glad it's premiered, mainly because my favorite (and the most gorgeous actress imo) is back! β€οΈπ― (She had such a small part in Litchi Road- disappointed she didn't have much more)!
Besides that, so far this series is moving swiftly, plenty of suspense, humor, etc. as of Ep. 4. Great ML and 2nd ML too...and the backdrop is very tense because of the period (1940) and all the lives at stake at that time. Loving this show!
Okay, so no sooner do I go to her IG page today and I see someone say she looks like Bai Lu. If she didn't have such a strong, yet carefree attitude, those never ending comparisons might drive her crazy after a while. It's like the obsession of the day or something to compare the two. I'm glad to say that when I watch this sharp, uniquely gorgeous woman act, I ONLY see Li Yitong.
Go check out her latest IG pictures and tell me you see Bai Lu, lol.
Absolutely fabulous series, and the last few minutes are probably the most beautifully shot footage I've ever seen. I want to rewatch that very ending again and again....and yes, like the others are saying, I would love to see a sequel to this. Absolutely! Thank you to all all the cast and Director!
So I came into this series not long after completing the 2024 remake "The Legend of Heroes." I didn't even know that going in; I just love Li Yitong's personality and acting so tried it out when I saw she was the FL. But to me, this 2017 version is far better in most ways than the remake. Many of the scenes are visually brighter, not so many filmed in the dark, thick woods. The fight sequences are pretty decent too.
Also, Meng Ziyi is in this one and the reboot, but plays different characters. Many of the 'Seven Freaks' are played by the same actors as well.
Previously, I'd also recently completed the latest special 5-part "Duel on Mount Hua" series and was blown away. Although hard to follow the viewing sequence at first, I found all but one of them very fast-paced, with excellent acting and special effects, etc. The backstories were really helpful too.
Only issue- I couldn't even get past Ep 1 of "Duel on Mount Hua: Southern Emperor and Northern Beggar" as it was bit too slapstick for me. Anyway, I'm 15 episodes into 'Condor Heroes' now and am finding this 2017 series definitely worthwhile. Just my two cent's worth.
Glad to see it! I'm simultaneously watching LOTFG and Immortal Ascension and really enjoying both. (Actually, I just finished TIA yesterday, so glad to see it was Pt. 1, because it was obvious that the series couldn't wrap up so quickly).
P.S. I'm seeing some SPAM popping up in the comments below- hope Lily will take care of those and block them. (Edited 8.18: I see it's gone now, thanks to whoever deleted it. And thanks for the tip from ElBee for the next time I see that message).
I just read that - she is using her brand fame, and integrity to promote smaller business. She comes across as…
She's absolutely amazing in so many ways, but is also quite human and can only take so much. The way she's fighting back is very smart and very admirable, because she's helping others as she tries to help herself escape the agency. Brilliant.
Lusi's near-daily vlogs have been wonderful for us fans; keeping us connected to her everyday life. Her ability to (disclaimer: unintentionally, of course) sell out any product she mentions is breathtaking.
I am so loving her upbeat attitude! But still with caution, hoping (legal and career) things work out very well for Rosy...sooner rather than later, and as stress-free as possible. πΊ
She is so gorgeous- playing a sweet, smart girl; yet, also a character with very strong convictions in 'The Immortal Ascension'. I can only hope that you land many more main roles.
If I was Han Li I'd have already asked Mo to marry me- none of this boyish yet cold bashfulness, or 'I'm too busy, so I'll see you in 10 years" nonsense, lol. It's like having a beautiful fairy pursuing you and you keep pushing her away. Really, Han? π³
Here's to you, Lady Mo. May you find a dependable Immortal by the series' end! π₯β€οΈ
Overall enjoying this, but action scenes and other plot points aside, Miss Mo is breaking my heart as I watch hers being broken...π’. Unlike so many other characters in these C-Dramas, she is very humble (or maybe resigned to it) and takes his rejections with no anger or evil thought towards him or any other girls. She is very mature, and keeps her unrequited love emotions in check.
I know love can't be forced, but Han Li is being a heartless knucklehead when it comes to her, imo. And he's being worse, a coward even, with another woman he's avoiding (CQQ), to the point of slipping memory-wiping drugs to her. Just admit you killed her bully attacker, okay? What's the big deal? Tell her you aren't pursuing romance with anyone right now. So easy to do. Lol.
Tough and fearless with monsters, but an absolute coward when dealing truthfully with the ladies in his life. I expect he will grow up soon, though. Other than that, Han Li is doing just fine with his priority in life; i.e. fighting the war.
I find it highly ironic that the ones who reportedly (and foolishly) locked our Rosy into a hotel room were the ones most likely imbibed with negative spirits needing to be cast out. Worse, if indeed they labeled her "cursed"; they risked cursing themselves instead: "Judge not lest you be judged."
Imagine how devastating it must have been for her to hear those awful words at that time.
The people in question; who allegedly dared to shade Lusi with that aspersion, appear to be very superstitious in the worst way. It was ridiculous behavior, but frightening too. Although a particular set of beliefs isn't necessarily dangerous in and of itself, some believers themselves can be.
I suppose they took money from Lusi to reimburse themselves for paying the Shaman, too.
By the way, Rosy is handling this whole situation remarkably well, yet it's not at all surprising knowing how resilient she is. And her innate sense of humor helps keep her going as well. Those are two of the many, many things we love so much about her. π πΊπ―

Okay, mild rant over. Have a great day everyone!

I just saw these and wanted to share, Yi Tong is so gorgeous in them. Her playful nature shines through these sets as well.

She is so adorable! And it just comes naturally. π
