This doesnāt even take into account that DNAD has already aired on TV and satellite channels across China for 36 rounds within a year, yet they still claim he doesnāt perform well. This drama made me respect him even more. It wasnāt a mainstream project and acting alongside veteran actors like that meant he could easily be criticized. Because he wanted to improve and challenge himself by trying a different genre and role, he auditioned for the drama. Since it was a CCTV production, he went through auditions and eventually got the role.
During filming, he mentioned in an interview that he felt really sad because he couldnāt perform at the same level as the veteran actors and sometimes didnāt even know how to act anymore.
