I’ve seen him in the same costume for about four days now.
I’m not sure if he’s still filming the same scene or if it’s just the regular emperor outfit he needs to wear.

She’s an important part of the story, just as much as the ML is, and both are needed to make the drama work. There’s really no point in trying to pit them against each other or create unnecessary fights between the leads.

I just want to support CZY in peace. To be honest, whether someone gets first or second billing is ultimately part of business negotiations because many C-artists negotiate for their position all the time. The frustrating part is that every time an issue arises, the rumors always seem
to come from the actress’s side, painting CZY as if he’s unwilling to accept second billing. That’s simply not true, he has already accepted second billing in dramas with Li Qin and Jiang Xin, his more recent projects.

Now with this drama, the situation only got worse because Yu Zheng decided to air everything publicly on Weibo. That not only dragged CZY into unnecessary trouble but also harmed his own artist, WJY. Who in their right mind would do that?
It’s damaging to both the drama and the cast. Instead, he twisted the narrative into “a woman being taken advantage of” just to fuel online hate against CZY, fully knowing that some people without a second thought would take the bait.

Those on Reddit who believe everything they see online and start hating on someone they don’t even know are just an IDIOT!!!. I repeat.
CZY himself has never said a word or posted anything against anyone, yet he ends up getting all the hate as if he committed some kind of crime. It’s so unfair how easily people jump to conclusions without knowing the full picture and target people who just only wants to do his job.

And to make matters worse, CZY’s agency never steps up to clarify or defend him, which leaves him as an easy target every time something like this happens. With no official response, people just believe the rumors and spread them around, making the situation even harder for him.

It might explain why CZY seems a bit lifeless on set compared to his previous dramas, but because he’s a true professional, he still does his job properly. He confirmed to star in this drama, and even with all the trouble surrounding him, he didn’t run away. I really admire that about him.

Exactly! Everyone should just move on, they’re both doing well in their lives (if you know what I mean). The drama has nothing to do with the actors’ personal lives.

I read on Weibo that FH episode ranked third among overall Hello Saturday’s episodes this summer with a 0.7X% rating 😊

Many C-netizens praised Cheng Lei’s acting in Shadow Love where he plays three different personalities.
I haven’t watched it yet because I don’t have time for long dramas, but I think it’s definitely worth checking out just for his acting.

By the way, I kind of like his makeup in this drama, he looks so mature as an emperor and it really suits him. The costume isn’t perfect, but it looks okay.

I saw a rumor on Weibo that this might come out around the end of September, but I’m skeptical. They still have two other dramas to air first and today is already September 7.
Plus, there’s been no official announcement which is typical for iQiyi, so I’m keeping my expectations low.

😅 Amnesia is used a lot in C-dramas, but I hope the overall story will be good and refreshing. 😊

He gained over 3 millions during Chinese New Year, but honestly, those people were just after his money. And next year he’ll probably gain another million again, since he regularly gives out red envelopes to C-netz during that time every year.

Even though I don’t come here very often, I still follow updates about his recent dramas once in a while.
I’ve noticed that he seems a bit sad while filming this one, compared to FH and CD where he was always smiling a lot on set. I won’t say much about the crew, but honestly, I just want my baby Zheyuan to be happy while filming, no matter who his co-stars or the production crew are.
He has such big, expressive eyes that you can always see his emotions through them… maybe that’s why I feel this way. In the end, it’s just one drama, and what matters most is his happiness.

Personally, I hope he chooses Father, Father, Son. It seems like an interesting drama that could really help him grow as an actor and give him a break from the ancient idol dramas, since he has already done three of them (not counting Light Up the Night). And if this drama ends up airing on CCTV, it would actually be his third CCTV drama which is great for his career growth compared to only web dramas.

I really hate these YXH. Since I started following Chinese entertainment, I’ve seen how they spread lies and try to ruin the image of good actors and actresses just to earn money.
They like to create fake rumors and start hate campaigns.
And sadly, some people believe them without thinking and start hating the artists without knowing the truth.

Right!!! I even took a screenshot from Weibo's clip showing how crowded it was, people of all ages had gathered, and I could hear them shouting from that clip about how handsome he is 😆😆
One passerby (a guy, by the way) commented in some chat thread that CZY is super handsome and incredibly popular among all age groups.
There were so many uncles and aunties there just to catch a glimpse of him 😂
They were all using their phones to take pictures including the uncles! I laughed so hard! 🤣

And yes, haters are always the loudest. They can say whatever they want to hurt us fans but we know CZY’s true worth, and that’s what really matters.

A clear example: when CZY was filming Light the Dark in Chongqing (around the time DNAD was airing on Chongqing Satellite TV), many people, young and old, men and women, not just fans gathered at the filming site, shouting “Lin Shao Bai! Lin Shao Bai!” Not “Duan Jia Xu,” but “Lin Shao Bai”!
Some didn’t even know his real name, they came simply because the town announced that Lin Shao Bai would be coming to film a drama there.

- During DNAD’s broadcast, some people criticized him, saying he might ruin the drama because he dared to take on a lead role alongside veteran actors.
They assumed audiences would complain. But once the drama began airing, the ratings climbed steadily and those critics went silent.
TV audiences genuinely enjoyed watching Lin Shao Bai on screen. TV rating is the bulletproof 🤣🤣🤣

I also saw comments in the DNAD circle from people saying their parents, grandparents, and other elders praised Lin Shao Bai for being both handsome and a talented young actor.

Some viewers also recognized him from his earlier role as Jiang Xiao Yu (Xiao Yu’er) in Handsome Siblings, which has also aired many times on TV.

TV audiences across all age groups don’t care about popularity, fanbase size, or looks.
They watch a drama because it’s worth watching and if DNAD was really that bad, how could it have aired 31 rounds on TV in less than a year?

So don’t let people who don’t even know CZY’s work fool you.
