This drama is still ongoing and some people already ask for a remake. And when there's disagreement, vultures…
nepobaby money? Wait who they mean? ..i guess without that many series would not see the light of this world incl. series like KP... but hey, money in this industry are to criticise the series, not to make them happen, so what am i even doing here? π€πΉ
Iβve heard this is an amazing drama, but Iβm hesitant watch because I try to avoid dramas so sad endings no…
if you search for reasons not to watch i know a ytb channel that might help you with that :D π(however, never come across FMV and edits, pls, or u gonna watch anyways) Look... take it from the bright side - types of endings are overrated, sad endings and its impacts are even more overrated and... wait a sic, no "ands".
You know the problem is everyone who has the time to write comments for example here on mydramalist have time for what they do to actors, so I never really got the βdon't they have livesβ approach. And to answer your I guess metaphorical/rhetorical question, as I think you know of many other examples maybe even more than I do, but to make the answer complete - Yes, they are that deranged. If you are watching BL or girl love series from Thailand - I was there when these so-called fans who were able to send incredible amount of money and time and effort to actresses to support their career based on false believes that they are dating together in real life and when the bubble popped, they were able to drag her significantly down and I am not mentioning the instances when one of these fans were stalking an actor to their hotel room. They have no problem or zero issues about invading personal space of these people. And personal space it is for a reason because you are supposed to feel safe there but like - Imagine someone being able to get into your house and you are being constantly under the threat of your fans hunting you down and entering that sacred safe space and take your pictures out of your property selling them on the internet even for free. What I want to say is - probably everyone in Asia has it very difficult being an artist who want to be supported by fans when certain part of the them is like this and will either make you go to heaven with money and power or will drag you down to hell if you are not dancing as they whistle. And from what I have heard and how I understand the SQ now, one of the biggest beasts are Chinese fans in this respect. And so even I am worried for Chinese actors because - I mean because of everything, the proximity is closer, they are way more influenced by them then other countries celebs. Even as an international celebrity, even if some of the biggest supporters comes from China if one of them or couple of them are like this and they can make of your life hell then it's still better in my eyes to have certain layers between you and them and that might be that you are from a different country and that you have access to many other fans and you are not, you know - Your life does not depend that much on two to five insane psychos. But it is always very difficult to be successful in any field (w or without chinese sasaeng). And the more successful you get the biggest differences are in the insanities happening, I guess.
Well... then they mustn't be. XD I mean - there is this difference between enemy, mum and boyfriend or pursuer…
I appreciate the approach, and yet I am not the right person to tell this to. As well, I believe this is a typical misunderstanding between people that gets us so mad until we understand β like understanding different speeches of love, for example. Or different personality and how what is working for me does not have to work for you and you cannot do anything about it but accept it.
So, from one side your approach can be taken as very emancipated, sophisticated, self-aware, rights-protecting; and from the other you can be considered overly sensitive, misunderstanding, not taking the other side into accountβ¦ and so on. And just let me note here that I love this because even as a writer you evolve, but you are still only one person writing a book from your current experience and perspective β which basically means that in the time the writer was writing this for the book they might mean it very light-heartedly and that it's exactly what I mentioned before: a language of love for the two of them.
However, from her current perspective she can say, for example, that this is a highly inappropriate thing to say and a thing that you cannot joke around with and land gracefully β it is belittling. It is both, and it is neither, and it always depends on who is receiving the message, who is giving it, what the mood in the room is, and what the overall perspective on life is for the two people at that given point in life. At this time β when this situation happens β what might be someone's long-term take on things might be just new information for the other side, and there are so many things we didn't take into consideration when we judge other people. I'm not even starting on when we judge movies, series, books, music.
Certain things you can only learn with time and after being deeply humbled and after reaching a certain level of acceptance and understanding β even if it is still only your perspective, your experiences, your information, and the way you approach them.
And so, as I mentioned before, it is deeply a matter of perspective whether he gains any points or not from the other character's perspective β because it heavily depends on how the author back then took all of the situation. And because they are only one person, they can understand the (inside character's) situation better than we can from the outside, in a way. Perspective β whether he is a fool or not, whether he gets easily lied to β you should also consider the perspective of the person who told it. You mentioned here before that you see him as manipulative, and if he is manipulative and successfully manipulative, the perspective of you and me is going to be different from the perspective of Hua Yong. Perspective and interpretations in storytelling β really a nice, cool thing. Lovely.
