I’m so tired of waiting for project announcements 😢. For someone who was in a well received drama (and did present great acting skills in it despite not being appreciated for her acting there) less than 5 years ago, she’s not being given offers. I like a lot of the rising actresses now (lots of them former child actors or at least got famous from recent good sageuks as well), but I really miss her (Chae Won for me deserves more popularity than some popular idol actors and actresses though).
The fl here worked with ljg before very rare it sure is
I find both dramas mid (I think I like this one better though Joongi has really standout acting in some scenes in Scholar since I remember there's a scene with three different versions of Lee Joon Gi together) but I really like the second lead girl and her father here. Plus I like watching Joongi's scenes with them.
I just skipped through the last episode without watching the rest of the drama except some of episode 1 ages ago..and…
ending is indeed them in heaven. some people think that he just woke up from a dream for thr last scene (since a similar scene was shown an episode before) but i believe the ending is the afterlife since King Jeongjo’s heaven would be him and Deok Im together. i don’t think this drama is the type to just make the female lead’s early death into just a dream given as the characters are based on real life people and the concubine female lead is based on did die young.
Can't this movie come out already?! I'm just so angry that Moon Chae Won is not having any shows released. They should have used the high grossing sales of Kwon Sang Woo's latest movie (the director of that movie is the same as this one) to promote this movie and release this as soon as possible!!
It's not really a unique drama, but I enjoyed watching this. Due to the chemistry of the couples, plus the fact that I love Han Ji Min in general, I'm gonna give this drama a 9.0
It's really sad how production teams are not choosing a great actress like her but are willing to choose kpop…
I'm so annoyed these kpop actresses get roles and their dramas are always the ones on Netflix, meanwhile they won't even do it to Moon Chae Won's dramas (Flower of Evil only put to Netflix months after it aired, and they didn't even bother with her latest drama Payback). It will only be a mirale if Moon Chae Won's sageuk dramas Princess Man and Painter of the Wind are put on on Netflix and even bigger miracle if she gets a female centric sageuk role that is aired on Netflix the same time it is showed in Korea.
It's boring some of the time but I guess Seyoung picked this drama as she wants to play a female lead overcoming trauma. I do like her chemistry with Na In Woo during their good times together (though I'd imagine her and him would have been better in romcoms, my impression of them in The Red Sleeve and River Where the Moon Rises are that they could do fun and comic things together, these dramas are not comic shows in general but they excelled in comic scenes with their costars here). Both of them acted really well in this drama. I wish I could rate this an 8.3, I don't want to give an 8.0 but 8.5 feels to high.
