What's up with Moon Chae Won? She looks fine to me.
Moon Chae Won never got plastic surgery though, she's a natural. If you look at her face from Painter of the Wind Days (2008) and now, it's basically the same. Especially in Flower of Evil, her make-up there and her make-up in Painter of the Wind are very similar, thus her face is basically the same. Her nose during Painter of the Wind days and her nose now are also the same. Most people are just more used to her chubbier looks since her face got chubbier after Innocent Man (which is the drama the average international fan knew her).
You have to understand this was based on real history. King Jeongjo’s beloved concubine did die young and their young son did die young. You cannot portray a love story of King Jeongjo and this particular concubine without adding the sad events that happened. It’s like removing the sinking part of the Titanic movie.
i think because they're a romcom and i guess kim young dae is more popular among younger audiences.
I didn’t even bother checking that out, neither the cast nor the story grabs me. I’m a sageuk fan, but sageuk nowadays are just nothing compared to the sageuks from 2000s-early 2010s.
i do advice you to not follow ratings when it comes to older kdramas (especially ones before 2012). There are a lot of old kdrama gems that do not get enough love/good ratings on this site.
Really love the rain scene of Junkyung and Taechun. Also the two babies featured in this episode are so cute, especially the baby in the stroller when she sneezed
This drama has a lot of flashbacks. But I think those flashbacks are because there’s something really important that happened in the past that cannot be revealed early in the plot (ex: what really drove Jun Kyung’s mom to commit suicide). I do agree that the flashbacks are a bit confusing sometimes but once you have a general idea of what the plot is about the flashbacks should not be confusing enough to the point that the viewer no longer ubderstands the general story.
So basically I wouldn't watch this drama if moon chae won wasn't there. It's going to be another unpopular drama…
I'm still waiting for her to get a female centric drama that gets well loved by many. For me, The Princess Man is still her best drama and her most impressive character (Flower of Evil was also really great but the weight is obviously more on the male lead while TPM she's arguably equal with male lead). I do think this drama as a whole was good and I quite enjoyed episodes 3 and 4. You just need to understand episodes 1 and 2 and maybe look up some jargony words used in the drama to keep up. She does have a lot of scenes in episode 3 and episode 4 (her scene in the last part) was very important to the show.
Was Min Seok even a killer or just a dirty businessman? He only killed animals? The murderer was the nail psycho…
one of the victims in the case presumably, i understood that the person in the bag is killed after moojin saw the bag and had his/her nails removed after as well.
