I’m a big fan of “Amidst…” (rewatched it multiple times) but I think which ML is better is a matter of personal preference :) But definitely would recommend AASOL (slower burn) and also You Are My Glory (same author as this drama).

I imagine that was done to show that FL has grown stronger mentally and is now able to handle everything that may come her way. For many years she thought her parents had died and she was to blame. But, in the end, they are still alive (and actually thanks to her!). That’s a lot to process for anyone and it’s admirable that FL was able to handle it well.

That’s the whole point of the drama — showing how very different people can become closer together by learning how to better communicate with each other (this goes for people other than the leads too). Various characters in this drama improve themselves by learning to express themselves better and to better listen/understand others.

P.S. I only read “her OBGYN” part initially and started wondering if she was already married & having kids. That’s what I get for not finishing a sentence 😳🫣🤣

But, for real, this must have been a great experience if you aren’t married/have obligations and can spend months away in foreign countries. They said everyone was like a big family as they got to know each other more (they shot in chronological order). And the leads said they saw real northern lights (aurora) on the way back from shooting… northern light scene 🥰

Maybe deep down she chose a Netflix show just so she could avoid going to awards shows! 😬🫣

Like others mentioned, it’s not really a breakup (even though they called it that). He just gave her space & time to go deal with her mother. But even when she departed, they already promised to un-pause (get back together) whenever she returns.

You can safely ignore bad reviews — this is a very good drama from very talented screenwriters (Hong Sisters). But it’s not a straightforward lighthearted romcom — it’s deeper and more thoughtful. It also contains some surprises and twists (don’t want to spoil them). Like others mentioned, this drama’s title is meant to be interpreted more universally — it’s about people who are different from each other finding a way to communicate effectively & establish a connection and a relationship (not just the leads; other people too).
But it does have a happy ending. And FL more or less only has eyes for ML; 2ML is more like a friend to her.

It’s mostly normal paced with some fast paced elements and some more mellow scenes. The person who called this show slow paced must not have watched slow/burn 30-40 episode C-dramas 😁

I was so excited for the drama that shall not be named — when I was in Seoul there were a lot of advertisements for it. Thankfully, I checked out reviews before watching it… and re-watched Samdal-ri instead 😬
