Not only that, he doesn’t ever care about his legacy because he wants to leave everything to her half-brother who is very clearly incapable of anything serious. He got kicked out of Royal Academy even though the family donated a bunch of money (and where she was the top student) and he’s not as good at business as her.
She probably wants him to marry someone of her choice. So that she can control him.
She most definitely does want to do that. yes. She had prepared a list (in ep. 1 or 2) and even met with one of the ladies. Really, FL’s family also wants to do the same thing to FL. They want her to marry down to someone unremarkable so she’d be easier to control.
Finally a rom com where the leads act on their spark rather than wait a long time for feelings to be deep and…
I feel like there may be a twist (like a paparazzi was invited to take photos) but our boy may be catching feelings for sure. He’s helped her in school and has been helping now 🥰
Why the sister in law is so against their relationship? Is it because FL is rich & she's afraid ML will get…
She’s against ML in general because she views him as a threat to the throne. And she probably correctly assumes that if the prince had a rich family backing him up, he’d be even more powerful & likely to take over as the king.
How to make Subway product placement even better: in the end Huiju’s father disowns her & kicks her out making everyone believe ML+FL are now poor, but then we find out that Huiju had secretly invested in Subway franchises (and picking up their food was for publicity), so ML+FL are now King & Queen and run Subway franchises for their income.
She also played a slightly similar character as sort of a 2FL in The Producers but it’s a mockumentary about…
Yes, Dream High was actually first acting roles for both Suzy & IU. If we look at the cast, there’s no way anyone would be able to afford it now. Well… maybe Netflix can afford to bring Suzy + IU together because both have done Netflix projects, but it may start fan wars, lol
Cmon, why am i watching subway ads in a middle of drama, what a joke honestly.
It’s no different than leads going to Egg Drop and remarking about quality of their food. And in this drama they made it a bit better by making it part of the plot — she was photographed bringing Subway to the hotel “date”, so now Subway in the drama is capitalizing on that publicity and has a special royal combo 🤣
Not the maids at the place thought they’re having sex when they’re fighting for blanket 😭 classic misunderstanding…
Once they are married and royal family gets some chaebol money, the palace will be able to afford to buy another blanket so they don’t have to fight over it 🤣😁
After this, im gonna rewatch IU in hotel del luna, I forgot how great she was at portraying unhinged characters
She also played a slightly similar character as sort of a 2FL in The Producers but it’s a mockumentary about Korean reality TV, so it’s not as easily digestible. She plays a Suzy-like character, a member of a girl group who became way more famous than the group itself and is now going solo. It’s made even more hilarious because Suzy is referenced by name a lot in the show (e.g., reality show tried to get Suzy but could only get IU’s character) although she never shows up unlike many other celebrities (even JYP makes a cameo).
Really, FL’s family also wants to do the same thing to FL. They want her to marry down to someone unremarkable so she’d be easier to control.
