Haha… it’s a good drama so far. There’s no guarantee it will stay as good, but majority of complaints thus far have been unjustified… unless this type of drama is just not someone’s cup of tea.

Oh, as an older person I totally enjoy those throwback dramas :) But you have to admit that it’s funny that so many of them are coming out at about the same time. Maybe it’s a fault of WIFTY which was set in early 2000s and got people nostalgic (well, I also heard that the government wanted them to get away from powerful boss-type of dramas).

That’s fair, everyone has different preferences and I appreciate your respectful comments. We don’t have to like the same things but too often it’s just haters/antifans who leave weird comments (to put it politely), especially on C-dramas.

The lead actress deserves another award for the wonderful job she did playing multiple roles… so she may have to attend more award ceremonies even though she’s notoriously shy ☺️

So it hasn’t been confirmed yet, correct? Because they looked at the moon and got me confused. The only moon person remotely plausible would be Lu Wu Yi 🤔

Haha… the recent K-drama trend of annoying third-wheel 2MLs is definitely much more annoying compared to, say, C-drama trend of having dramas set in 1970s/1980s/1990s 😁

Positively Yours way by far the worst offender. Someone mentioned that FL had more screen time with 2ML than with ML and I’m inclined to believe that 🙄

They’d better give us at least a hopeful open ending 🙏

At this point any complaints about IU’s acting only make me roll my eyes 🙄

Thanks! I’ve watched Can This Love Be Translated (probably best recent K-drama) and have Last Summer and Love Me in my list. Positively Yours had a good beginning and promising concept but wish they’d have focused more on the pregnancy & their relationship instead of other things (someone mentioned there was more FL+2ML screen time then FL+ML, lol).

Hmm… I see your point. I’m a fan of slice of life / slow burn dramas, so this plot is exiting enough for me, but yes, it’s not as exciting as, say, beginning of K2 :)

Honestly though, I’m more worried about the last third of the drama. So many recent K-dramas had a good beginning & middle, but completely dropped the ball in second half / last third 😢

Japanese, Philippine, and Thai (?) dramas have 1 episode per week so that’s even worse. C-dramas spoil people like us 😁

Perfect Crown 👑 is a welcome place for our brains to rest after watching VoS. We are all in a perpetual state of confusion caused by all the twists & turns 🤯

Haha… my feelings are similar, but I must say that Dynamite Kiss and Would You Marry Me are actually some of the better recent dramas which is a verdict about the quality of recent releases 🙄 So many dramas go off the deep end and become bad in the last third / half 😳

BTW, are there any recent K-dramas that you enjoyed? Seems we have a similar opinions, so maybe you can recommend something I missed 🤓

I seem to be watching more of C-dramas lately too. The last K-drama that has stuck with me is “Can This Love Be Translated” which, coincidentally, was written by Hong sisters who wrote Hotel Del Luna which starred IU 🥰

She’s really a great mom unlike a majority of queens in historical dramas who oftentimes don’t care about their sons or care but in a wrong way (like in this drama). Of course, the explanation is that YQQ is from the modern world so she’s a like a normal person today not like a crazy noblewoman of the past
