Why does Yun I Rang not want the Grand Price and FL to be together? Why does Yun I Rang hate the Grand Prince?…
We may not know all the reasons yet, but for now the main reason is to protect her son’s position as the king and, hence, her status as Queen Mother. The prince is insanely popular and is a de facto king (acts as regent) which means that he may want to simply take over the throne one day (and, actually, he admits that to FL in ep. 3). So Queen Mother wants to reduce his involvement with royal affairs by getting him married (which means he will have to move out of the palace) and, specifically, married to someone non-powerful that can be controlled by Queen Mother & her family. So she’s furious when ML wants to marry FL who is from a chaebol and can use her influence to further elevate prince’s status.
P.S. We think that The Prince wants to take over the throne not because he is craving power (not like Queen Mother), but to make things easier for the child king.
Is there no Kdrama where the main lead cuts off contact with toxic parents? I’m not talking about outright evil…
The best example would be C-drama “The First Frost”. Without spoiling too much, FL’s mom was absolutely terrible & selfish and, at the end, FL decides not to forgive her and doesn’t reconcile. But that drama was based on a very popular book by a very talented writer, so it’s a level above most typical K- and C-dramas.
Fake, contract marriage, rich and badass female lead and A HOT PRINCe at this rate Fake pregnancy the way he said…
A web novel prequel to the hit 2026 Disney+/MBC K-drama Perfect Crown, titled Perfect Crown in Royal Academy of Korea, will launch on Kakao Page on May 16, 2026. Written by the drama's scriptwriter, Yoo Ji-won, the 30-chapter web novel explores the school days of the main characters, including the chaebol heiress (IU) and royal prince (Byeon Woo-seok)
IU was right when she said ep 3 will be better than the last 2 although I enjoyed them too. Looking forward to…
I think she mentioned this week’s episodes will show different sides of her character, not necessarily that they will be better. At least, that’s what she posted on Berriz.
Omg enjoying every minute of it so far 🤩IU is top notch as an independent women and Woo Seok is keeping up…
Yes! As I mentioned in a comment earlier today, the ultimate power move would be if we found out that before they started “dating” FL invested in Subway franchises with her savings. That way, they’d still be rich even if her dad & half-brother kick her out of the family.
P.S. We think that The Prince wants to take over the throne not because he is craving power (not like Queen Mother), but to make things easier for the child king.
