Wang Chu Ran was dubbed in Are You the One (historical) but not dubbed in Fireworks of My Heart (or so people have said on MDL).

It was very nice of YOUKU and iQIYI to give us two contrasting dramas airing simultaneously — after watching episodes of this serious drama, we can unwind & laugh at “How Dare You!?” (this is kind of like when The First Frost and The Best Thing were airing at almost the same time) 😊

Early ratings are always low due to an MDL glitch and due to a flood of antifans/haters/bored people who give bad ratings to all episodes (even ones not aired) and write nonsensical comments. 8.1 isn’t bad actually. Oftentimes, dramas dip to 7.7-7.9 before eventually recovering.

In the end, both will lose to Lin Wan probably 🤣

Episodes 1-6 came out 25 hours ago so many people binged them immediately :)

Those endings have to be there for censorship reasons (it was all a dream or it was all in a book) because some people got too deep into stories like that and, uhhhh, did bad things to themselves. So I just sigh and accept it. But some dramas really push the envelope and all but tell you straight up it wasn’t a dream :)

I’m only on episode 2 of Jadewind. Hopefully it gets more interesting as things progress because I like the leads there too :)

Maybe she will join the team eventually? In the end credits we see all four characters marching together. But I’m trying really hard to avoid spoilers 🫣

There’s apparently a glitch in MDL where it doesn’t handle scores correctly for dramas that just got released. Additionally, almost every drama goes through an early phase when antifans/hates/bored people downvote all episodes (including ones not released). It’s very annoying but that’s why I usually read comments instead of solely relying on a rating :)

They dubbed both leads here. I know, it’s pretty typical, especially in historical dramas, but don’t know what caused it here.

In a serious historical drama, they’d kill all the male clan members and send all women to be servants (if not worse). Living in Cold Palace might not be so bad 🤣

It’s really good so far but it never hurts to wait until the whole series is out. Honestly, this one is so good, waiting is hard 😞

Set up was definitely very sad. I think it was made even sadder by the fact that it’s a pretty realistic scenario and — as much as we all wanted ML & FL to instantly adopt the baby — neither lead is in a place in their life when they can comfortably take care of a baby.
