GMM has tendency to mess things up in their own very special way and I usually dont enjoy their shows as much. Or there is something about their shows that is not adult enough for me.
I also wanted darker, but i didn't mind the humour, and I felt the second episode wasn't as good as the first somehow.
I am considering binge watching the show instead - hold off watching for a few weeks.

But your review is not adult like or fair so you dont have the right to be offended when review is disparaged.

If you can educate by explaining why the series is homophobic then maybe people can take your review more seriously.

I dont know about the pilot - felt a bit silly and childish -but having said that i think this could be done bit differently (make it more adult) and it does have potential to be cute and to have good comedic value

I don't understand what one has to do with the other. One is sexual harassment and the other has to do with audience taste.

What I wonder is if the production companies are dictating what audience will get and will like, or if they are doing market research and giving audience what they actually want. There is certainly a market for what they are producing.

This show had a rating of 8.1 a few days ago and suddenly dropped to 7.8

I think some people are down rating show unfairly. People who have dropped the show are rating it about 3.8 which is particularly low.
I get that its not to every ones taste but even so its much better than a 3.8. I have dropped shows or watched shows that did not appeal to me but still rated them higher.

I dont know how MDL rates - there doesn't seem to be such a high proportion of people that have dropped the show, And it would be interesting to understand "verified /stars rating"

Its more about being expedient to not bother labelling series as straight when about 90% are straight. It would get tiresome if the obvious needs to be labelled.

I dont mind seeing immorality in fiction - but if I justify it then i can justify it based on the times or its not as bad as murder, then I can justify anything.

100% this. People need to realise that fiction is not reality. And if we start censoring certain behaviours and subjects that we dont approve of we will end up with a situation like China banning bl series.

It annoys particularly when audience are so selective over what they moralise about - violence, murder and mafia themes are okay. They romanticise that completely.

If people hate infidelity, deceit, betrayal, then why don't they focus to sort out their personal lives before imposing morals on fictional characters. Most people who have a problem with the ethics of fictional characters are lacking ethics if they cant differentiate and feel the need to point it out.

You don't have to excuse using betrayal as a subject in fiction, but lets not make excuses for the act even during dangerous times. This is where i disagree with you. Its still not justified to hurt and destroy other innocent lives just to protect yourself and your sexuality.
Betrayal and infidelity is simply a plot device and in fiction I am amoral. I want to be entertained, and experience diff perspectives.

I think its sad that its being boycotted because they have really done a good job creating an entertaining series. I love the show. The actors are great, and production is good BUT its not true to the book/webtoon.

This book meant a lot to the Thai fans because it dealt with issues dear to them. "The novel tackles politics, LGBTQIA rights, classism, colorism, and more."

I think should have bought rights to produce a spinoff type story rather then to buy rights to the original book and then changing the most significant parts that meant a lot to the author and fans.

It may be absurd to international fans but the issues it tackled meant a lot to the Thai fans.

Sugar high is a good way of describing it but i think you need to be a fan of ZNN to actually enjoy TNP. I enjoyed some of their other shows but not TNP

i understand - some shows have taken me months to finish because of this issue. I have to force myself. And only when enough time has passed that i forget how embarrassed i was.
Its usually when a character exposes some embarrassing feeling or some embarrassing behaviour/situation is exposed.
In this show i feel the actor he has embraced everything embarrassing, and is so comfortable being unashamed that i cant feel embarrassment.
