chinese version is more historical and authentic. Korean version is too much popculture type, all good looking…
Thanks. Im in the process of watching both (at same time) as they are more or less different stories. I think Korean do style well. The Chinese is more substance and authentic.
I said somewhere further down that this is a vanity project for NNZ in "pretty" costumes. A good script, an engaging plot, consideration of the supporting actors - that is all incidental.
Loved this movie. Its about survival and clutching on / using any means available when you dont have any other options left.
The doctor is using sex to revive a "patient". The drugs of sec to degrade and torture, to make the victim hit rock bottom, to make him feel, to ignite something that wills him to survive. I found some parts difficult to watch and fast forwarded. This is a film i would rewatch.
Its twisted and its beautiful. It deserves a higher rating. if you enjoyed this then I also recommend another film called Sing in Love (2022)
I struggled to watch this film and put it aside when it got to the rape scene. It took about two months for me to finish watching. The film is not so much about a rape as it is about the effects or rape and recovering from rape . And how easy it is for a life to spiral into destruction.
Its traumatic. Its sad. But it was worth watching. The two lead actors were excellent (as was the rest of the cast). I am so conflicted about the ending. But it made an impact.
To those who call it toxic You dont have to watch this type of genre. But stop calling for CENSORSHIP on what you perceive to be toxic dramas. Its a slippery slope and we end up NOT having dramas like REVENGED LOVE if you dictate morality and tell people what is appropriate to watch and what cant be produced and viewed.
What the hell is wrong with people when they cant accept that others have a different opinion and different tastes…
@NLL who blocked me for the comment below
I watched some on the first episode and am dropping it because I cant follow it or get into it. I think there is a prequel and possibly you need to see that to be into it I cant follow what is going on easily.
I like the actors. I wanted to like the show. I But its not for me. I have not rated the show because well i haven't watched or been involved enough to give a fair rating.
If people are watching they are entitled to have an opinion and offer it.
You need to chill and not take things so personally.
If you aren’t enjoying the series drop it you’re obviously a mn hater who is using multiple of your accounts…

It’s strange how certain situations or different settings can bring out the best and worst in certain actors.…
What the hell is wrong with people when they cant accept that others have a different opinion and different tastes - and if you express them you are a hater. And you never said anything bad either.
EDIT: Ive been blocked by NLL. Dear NLL - you need to get some professional help
Just started watching this today. I have seen 3 episodes so far and Im favourably impressed . Im interested in the story, the leads and support couple, and I want to know more. Its well filmed and edited (not that Im an expert). I would rather watch this then another big costume drama with a huge budget.
Edit I have watched e4 episodes now so I have caught up
-Enjoying chemistry between leads -Really like Deck and Mek. Very cute. (becoming my favourites) -BL men are always getting sick or inured - especially delicate Thai men (this trope is overdone)
I know he's an actor and he wants to be diverse, but bottom roles just don't suit him...
I cant comment as I am saving this to watch when it ends. However I want to say that you are entitled to your preferences and your opinions without being attacked. Its just a bl fiction world.
This guy is so handsome! Like no matter how many times I see him, he's still the most good looking Thai man I've…
Agree. One of the most beautiful men. (his brother is also gorgeous).
I think Thai men are better looking than Korean (only mentioning Korean because they are currently in fashion). In my opinion, I think he is better looking that Byeon Woo Seok (who is also great looking).
tell me you never met queer people in RL without telling me 🤦♂️ top/bottom are sexual preferences not…
Bl dramas dont have much to do with real gay life. Also this is a bl drama and not about real gay peoples lives. Also a lot of gay men do not consider themselves queer. I dont know if you are speaking on behalf of all gay men or all queers. Gay men have a gender preference - kind of what makes them gay.
lol - one grandma who considers herself an elite critical thinker but gets so emotional when her show and babies…
A certain Flower was extremely rude and blocked me and many others who criticised the show and the two main leads.
Im enjoying this board, but Im not trying to harm anyone as some people may have mental issues like celebrity worship syndrome so need to be mindful of other people

lol - its all in good fun . The comments are more entertaining then the show .
I'm not the target audience for this show - I love angst and toxicity (My stand in, Only friends) but some of the postings by overzealous and rude fans here have satisfied that toxic requirement. And they have annoyed me.
-Some fans cant accept criticism and responded rudely to people who posted contrary opinions. -I also read that certain TNP fan clubs were told to downvote another show (the voting here and the reviews feels rigged). To me that is unfair. -Also its annoying when obsessed fans cant see that this is "the emperor is not wearing any clothes" type of show. They are blinded by big budget, costumes, set designs
I m usually not so critical as I dont expect much from Thai bls (although there are some good ones especially recent ) - only that they engage. But they spent so much money on this - so its annoying
I gave it a 9.5 because I felt the last few episodes did not fit well. I also read up that they minimised Yoo…
I didnt mind the ending. I like endings that are not definitive, that are sad, that are ambiguous, etc. I can appreciate them because thats how life is.
But it was a crime not to explore his psyche further in the last few episodes. Instead the second male lead actor become the lead actor and it felt like the story had suddenly changed. That is why I cant give it a 10. (Dont get me wrong, I adore the second lead actor -but thats not the point). This is one of my top 5 korean drama.
I wish there were more shows that feature and explore antiheroes that are dark, twisted, amoral, morally complex, toxic etc.
I have watched a lot of Kdramas that bored me. In fact, struggle to finish a lot of them. But this drama had me engaged. It was different.
I was fascinated by the Yoo Jung as a character - i felt he could have been darker, and that would have made it more interesting. I enjoy observing more complex characters.
Baek In Ho was such a cutie here. Major second lead syndrome.
If anyone can recommend similar types of shows - then thank you in advance.
