I respect your opinion. Iol I will gladly accept any criticism about the show - except the toxic argument one. (that one annoys me)

I enjoyed the experience of watching the show.
Its a Thai bl so I dont raise the bar too high. (sometimes i dont even raise it). Most times I look past all the technical stuff like editing, camerawork, acting. I focus on how I feel watching the series, how it engages, and I get distracted by the pretty faces. I was distracted enough not to notice all its shortcomings.

I never not notice the music that accompanies the nc scenes. (WHY???) But its there with 99% of Thai bls.

I have also said that in a comment further below. And agree about the side characters.
The review section is interesting.

Its just very suspicious when there are 11 pages of reviews already. It seems that the majority of the reviews were made between 4th-10th of May after having viewed 1 episode. Out of these reviews - about 95% give this a 10 for everything. (Story, acting, music, rewatch value).

It does not look like a normal distribution. It feels like too many fans have manipulated the voting at least in the review section.

It does not do a service to women to have females that are badly written or to be there only to irritate and take up space. I see so many misogynistic comments on bl shows when its not even an annoying girl/s - why write them in.

I also dont like GL pairing in every Thai BL show. Its not why Im watching bl.

Its sad that its assumed that older people (by a few years) and/or people in power are ALL predators.

It does not reflect well on society or people that are making broad assumptions. Not everyone is a groomer or will sexually exploit the young.

Its wrong to accuse someone of being a predator because you think they can potentially be one. Its like assuming a man in the park with a child is automatically a paedophile and not the childs father.

Seriously I dont see the big deal.
They are actors and professional. And if you know and trust someone it would make the acting easier.
If there were nc scenes I would not think that much of it if its 21 and 27 yrs old. Again its acting.

Not all older people and /or people in power are predators.

This was so funny. I enjoyed it and laughed a lot.
I wanted something not serious and this was perfect.

I cant think of a better reason to watch this. I was going to watch for Lee Long Shi, but the rest of actors deserve attention as well.

I was made aware that the the novel was about the intrigue and politics but I wonder if the NNZee bl audience would have wanted that to be the focus as opposed to the romantic fairy tale. (If its about intrigue, an actor like Gun Atthaphan would have played the role well. Imagine how different the series would have been.)

Because its a NNZ vehicle (the focus being Romance and style over substance), I think they were trying to do too much (intrigue, political upheaval, injustice, the competition, succession etc). Instead they should have focused on one issue, the other two couples, and the NNZ romance.

Also I wonder who made the decision to cut out Ramil/Paytai and Calvin/Jay stories. Were egos involved? Or did they just not have time because they were all over the place focusing every where and missing every mark.

I know Im being harsh but I do want non GMM shows to be successful. And it annoys me when so much is spent on an uninteresting (unless your NNZ fan) vanity project.

PS nothing wrong with romance and style if done well.

I didnt know it took about 25 to 40 days to shoot a series. It does not sound that long - I would have thought much longer.

Neither am i an omegaverse fan, but that is not reason to be immature and spiteful and wish to deprive others who have done nothing to you.

Im surprised that this show has such a high rating of 8.2 when its so bland.
The show deserves points for expensive sets, no cringy music during nc scene, the costumes (even if i dont appreciate them ), and better than average bl camera work. But the scriptwriting, and engaging story are missing. And that is what should count.

If Ramil/Paytai and NetJJ were given more time, it could have kept the interest as their plots were more exciting . Or alternatively they could have been written in a manner to balance what was going on in in the main plot and give variety. NNZee are not enough to carry this show.

They put a lot of effort and money into this show, but Domundi made it all about their two favourite lead actors, and fancy costumes/sets. Ultimately, it feels like they produced a vanity project for the two leads, rather than creating a show interested in presenting a compelling story and script.

If i was an executive there i would be busy re-editing this series to give those couples more time - to salvage some of the show.

I preferred them when they did angst and emotions in Love Mechanics. They excelled in that.
Its your average action packed drama done by YW. Its average.
I fast forwarded it a lot.
I want to watch shows focusing on bl rather than action. If this was a straight action show it would never get these ratings/views. Its not compelling

I didnt like it. Its action and that is fine.
I enjoyed the angst and emotions and toxicity of love mechanics. They did that well.

Traditionally in fairy tales, a prince is more focused on governing a nation, a princess is more focused on costumes, being pretty and romance.

As a woman, I dont particularly like the fairy tales that condition us.

I have not made a value judgement on what is the correct way for a woman/man to behave. Live and let live.

The actor is portraying the character as being NuNew playing around in fancy costumes. There is no depth or nuance to the acting considering the position and situation he is in. Its like all his other performances. Its frivolous.

EDIT behavious/actions/clothing can be seen or categorised as more masculine or feminine without there being a value judgement.

I agree with your observations and he absolutely had sass from the start.

Despite my criticisms i want Domundi to do well because they are not GMM . Variety and competition is good. I dont just want fluffy high school shows (although GMM has improved there).

I just wish they had not put so many eggs in one basket.
