Grooming is a subjective definition. If a child is over 13yrs old it would not be considered grooming before new law was passed in 2020.

Actually the law was changed in 2020 I believe. Before that the age of consent was 13. So the grooming was very much legal. Otherwise the family would sue him directly and the police would be involved.

Still I do hope Disney loses money as well. They are known for exploiting child actors and sexual for abuse of minors. They have also hired child molesters ( Brian Peck, Bryan Singer) and protecting them.

Would they be able to get damages? KSH did not break any legal laws - and from my understanding grooming of a 15 year old minor was allowed under Korean Law, and sending letters of demand for payment outstanding is not illegal). Would he be subject to Korean or international /US law.

His mistakes were the lies after revelations came out (he could have apologised) and handling of the situation with KSR (showed some compassion re debt etc). Otherwise he would have gotten away with it and society would not have blinked.

The fact that a lot of companies (Prada included) are dropping him says a lot. They would have consulted their legal and PR teams. Nothing changes the fact that KSR (chose) committed suicide on KSH birthday, and that he (an adult nearing 30) pursued and groomed her when she was 15yrs old. She was exploited and abused.

But her parents need to address the recent allegations that she was married/abortion - or at least issue a statement that due to legal proceedings they cant discuss anything further.

They started on this path of transparency and exposing the truth - so they need to address any uncomfortable rumours

It could be a distraction but they should address it either way. The family are fighting for the truth and for transparency. Thus they should be transparent with the facts - favourable or unfavourable.

They should continue to file the defamation complaints.

I agree that it does not change the fact that she was groomed and exploited by KSH. And that his agency exploited, and financially/legally threatened her, and most importantly that she committed suicide on his birthday.

I'm sure her life decisions were influenced by her KSH trauma . Her DUI, her future relationships etc.

However it could influence public perception and his team will use it do distract. If she had not died on his birthday it could more easily be spun that her current relationship/issues were the problem.

I also think she was suffering and hurting from a broken heart. He was her first partner and six yrs is a long time. He manipulated her, used and abused her and then discarded her. But even after discarding her he still wanted to control her.
He was unbelievably cruel.

We should start petition / write letters /petition subscriber services (prime, disney, netflix etc) not to use him as an actor. I am more than happy to cancel my subscription in they hire an actor who is a groomer/paedophile.
