On No Tail to Tell Feb 20, 2026
The premise seemed fun but not enjoying it as much as I hoped I would. The chemistry is lacking. Don't feel the romance. Only characters that kept me watching are both the FLs (gumihos)

There is a direct reference in the show if you missed it. Also what's cool or uncool about referencing david lynch?? If one wants to be cool would have referenced Tarkovsky or bella tarr. David lynch is cool for people who have surface level or average idea of cinema 😂

It is just a surface level reading of it. You can't judge a movie or show at its face value. The violence in the show is not the product but is portrayed as a symptom. It is a well done satire on late stage capitalism specifically pertaining to the entertainment industry. It makes a good argument as to violence or stuff that is sensational and gratuitous is designed to monetize human suffering for the amusement of the masses. It is also self reflective and raises a point towards the accident of birth (lottery) and the structural inequality based on which hierarchy or social strata one is born into. Then it shows the commodification of suffering i.e. the motiff of clock and money plus content creator economy we currently live in where attention span is short and viewers are drawn towards shocking or sensational stuff on the internet. Unlike say John Wick or other violent movies it uses violence as a tool to make its point and not just some cheap thrill. There are lot of visual metaphors throughout the show which is quite brilliant. Making an assumption at a surface level doesn't do much justice to it. Also, if it's very offensive to you just don't watch it rather than getting triggered by someone who enjoyed the show for what it tried to portray

well these are my genuine thoughts regarding the show. It might not align with your worldview. We can respectfully agree to disagree on each other's opinion without the use of insults

to each their own. Everything is subjective. Maybe it is gratuitous bullshit for you. But please be civil.

Thought it would be like collateral from the premise and description but it completely surprised me. Much darker and didn't expect to enjoy it as much before going into it

Never thought Park Bo Gum would make such a convincing villain. Would like to see him in some more villainous roles in newer kdramas

should have been a scene where the bald prosecutor chief guy gets slapped continuously 3-4 times, would have been so cathartic. The backstory of the antagonist might have been inspired by the real life infamous horrific miryang case

Don't really hate the idea. It's good for a binge and people who prefer weekly 2 episodes can just choose to watch…
Hahaha you don't sound like a professor at all, more like a grumpy kid who got their candy taken away. Seems like you are sub-consciously obsessed with the orange babboon Donald. Also the world doesn't revolve around Trump!
I think you are just an entitled high schooler acting like a grown up. Hilarious!

Hahaha. I addressed you concerns regarding the viewership. As for the YouTube video it's not a gospel it's an opinion by another individual. Also, what does it have to do with Trump? You can't even argue properly. As for. intellectual capacity I have a phD in cinema studies so I have a fair sense of what I am talking about when it comes to movies and shows rdther than arguing based on YouTube videos. Read some books and research at your own leisure. Also try to think on your own for a change rather than being moulded by the opinion of others. Check both for and against arguments. Try to understand and think on your own using your intellectual capacity which I am sure you have as all humans have the ability to think. Don't be a follower. Good day!

Nope already addressed. Can't help it if you just want to argue for argument's sake like a child.
Also it's either baloney or boloney. You can use hogwash or poppycock instead of it since you seem to be quite overusing the term

I don't get why most kdramas do it. It ruins the enjoyment of a happy ending. if they want to give a happy ending then at least give more screen time for the happy ending or just keep them separated till end credits. Hate this trope a lot. Even recently I was enjoying surely tomorrow but this trope in particular ruined the show for me in the last episode
