Tired of the last episode break up then reconciliation in last 5 mins trope in every other Kdrama. The writers need to do away with it asap. Almost every other romantic kdrama has it.
Don't really hate the idea. It's good for a binge and people who prefer weekly 2 episodes can just choose to watch…
I am sure people in Korea who are invested in certain shows watch it on their terrestrial networks but for rest of the world who have to wait for streaming on OTT platforms after it airs on the network it doesn't make much of a difference. Just take a look at last month or November. Netflix came up with the price of confession which was a really great mystery thriller for bingeing but it didn't affect the ratings of taxi driver season 3 which was airing at the same time in terrestrial networks of South Korea, or even shows like Idol I etc. Some people prefer to watch the whole story at one go while others like the weekly episodic format but people who don't live in South Korea the binge format seems more lucrative as they anyway don't have any access to terrestrial networks of South Korea
Plus the whole industry is changing globally in terms of spectatorship be it theatres, television or streaming. Things keep changing with the times and in every point of history there is always resistance to newer methods until it becomes the norm and then something new comes along again and the cycle keeps on repeating. When feature films became a big deal around 1920s and 1930s people lamented the fact about stage theatres bearing the brunt of films as films were considered "cheap entertainment" back then but with them the same form became high art. Depends on perspective and nothing remains static. Everything is always in flux

It's not so simple. There are both pros and cons. They get higher production budget, a guaranteed income regardless of the show being good or bad, they can experiment with stuff which is usually seen as risky on traditional korean television, also more global exposure
I hate Netflix and their maniac idea of launching all the episodes at once.
Don't really hate the idea. It's good for a binge and people who prefer weekly 2 episodes can just choose to watch it at their own pace. Everybody happy
Could have been 16 episodes. Some dramas are way too short even though they deserve a longer episode count. It had 3 episodes of flashback dealing with a tragic backstory. Would have loved if it maintained the same pace but somehow after that it ended in a flash within a couple of episodes
The final break up makes no sense and the reconciliation at the end further makes lesser sense. Noble idiocy and public view will still be there so why get back together? If they can bear then why break up in the first place? The last episode was very bad. Lot of screen time wasted in yearning shots. I mean using 40-50 mins of yearning is a lot. Only 3 mins of reconciliation. Could have cut down on the yearning bit by 20 mins and given a better ending than a rushed happy ending
Just hope there isn't a penultimate episode or final episode breakup/separation trope. Please writers be kind. Tired of this trope in every other kdrama
Loved it. Not a single weak episode. This show has actually made me want to watch another drama from a couple of years back called One Dollar Lawyer, which I have been avoiding all these years. It seems to have a similar premise
Weak ending for this season. Overall weak compared to previous seasons. So now taxi driver is going to be like any american show, season after season until it becomes too stale. Sad
Kept me entertained week after week without the feeling of a binge due to its more episodic nature compared to previous seasons but still the heart of the first season is missing. Season 1 was far superior compared to the other two seasons. Season 2 wasn't bad but it got more action heavy and Season 3 got more louder. Hope they tie up the rainbow taxi family arc with a proper emotional season that can do justice to the first season rather than pumping out yearly seasons like some CSI show or one of those American shows that keep going on till 10-12 seasons. Expected some kind of development between go eun and kim do gi going by the hints at season 2 but season 3 didn't focus much on the characters rather it was more case based in a case of the week format. It moved away from its gritty crime thriller elements of season 1 to more towards superhero kind of territory. Not a bad season but still the weakest season as a whole if compared to previous taxi driver seasons. For me: S1 greater than S2 and S2 greater than S3
I share your sentiment about this show… I remember reading the comments about how good this drama was and it…
only a couple of dramas pre 2016 were really good. I enjoyed Healer, Misaeng: Incomplete Life, Reply 1988 and a couple of others that were made pre 2016. Misaeng in particular doesn't feel dated at all even the quality of the production which is evident in other older kdramas
Thought of watching this but when I came to know the ML is the biological father of the 2nd ML and ends up with his "son's" childhood friend/crush in a romantic relationship, just couldn't wrap my head around it. Even if they might be same age due to time travel mumbo jumbo but it's very messed up. Feeling bad for the son
It was okay. Didn't find it as great as the rating or comments suggest. The recent price of confession with a similar kind of premise was much better and more compelling compared to this. Even the kdrama doubt a couple of years back was better than this. The twists weren't too shocking and found it a bit stretched out. Also had a very soap opera kind of feel to it
The ending of episode 12 might be the final case. Maybe it will go on for 4 more episodes. Episode 13-14: rainbow taxi team will face setback since they haven't this season. Episode 15-16: Comeback and win. Also since this has to do with some international criminal organisation maybe they will introduce the Interpol characters again in the final episodes that were there in the first two episodes
Could be a good concept for a video with a GTA-esque open world and side missions to earn money and later use superpowers for bossfights by earning money through various odd jobs available in the game world
Sadly the most amount of chemistry the leads had was in the first 2 episodes that they spent in jeju as strangers. Would have preferred a fully stress free episode like that for the finale. Time jumps, amnesia, etc could have been avoided instead could have focused more on building towards the happy ending and delved into the FL's sister sub-plot which was abandoned after the first two episodes. Even the villains consequences weren't much or rushed and not satisfying. Would have loved to see the ML's father get slapped a few times. Such a good cast, deserved a much better ending
