thats what in novel the ml has total three phase 1.chasing her for her marriage with him 2.chasing to melt her…
Once again...the issue is the execution. Not the overall story. As I said her not liking him isn't the issue. The issue is they still want to give the leads all this scree time even though nothing is going on with them, instead incorporating the HUGE cast of characters they have established in the show. It would be fine if there were other things going on.
Chill, be a bit more patient 😆In novel mutual love only start coming at final third. So maybe in drama episode…
You don't need 10+ episodes of the same theme IF you aren't adding anything else. It would be fine if there were legit second leads, other women, political drama, but mostly it's just push and pull over and over and over.

Once again there are only so many episodes. So if they do the common c-drama thing at best you'll get 2-4 "happy" episodes and then their separation and then the end. It gets old. Was hoping for better here...likely not happening.
well , she was crying and felt really bad. Thats why she married him. And in the upcoming eps she will warm up
Not really whether it is a cdrama thing or not - some have managed to do better. I was hoping this one was different. It's not, but the second couple is worth viewing so I'm enjoying them.
Haha. I can root for the FL getting what she wants and not getting hurt. And if the writers change her feelings…
". I can root for the FL getting what she wants and not getting hurt..."
Life is messy. Can't avoid getting hurt. And that makes more a boring drama. I'm just gonna run away, avoid, ignore every male in the series so I don't get hurt. She did that her first life too. It didn't work out so well for her then. But like I said...it's not about the character. It's just boring TV.
Long live the second couple. Their story comes with highly entertaining hijinks and is moving along quite nicely.
To put things in perspective - because some people seem to think the critique is a character critique and not a writing/directorial one -
From episode 13 to somewhere between 26-28 - the entire premise of the main couple is "I don't like you leave me alone/Please like me I love you and I'm dying" - that's it. Nothing else. Throw in a delusional ex. and that's all we got.
The point isn't whether the lead female needs to like him...it's you're not giving the viewer anything to root for, enjoy, expect. It's basically just the same premise each episode with (sometimes) different takes and variables.
Mind you there is a separation coming as well. It's just basically nothing is happening. That's all.
She married him because the marriage wouldn't last long but you're expecting her to change the deal and fully…
It's stupid. And don't marry him if you feel that way. It's a year. You know what the deal is when you sign up. Go all out. Call it day. Make good memories. Dragging this out is dumb. 365 days. That's it.

I'm just watching the second lead couple right now. Once it's finished airing I'll give it a proper watch. But they are the only interesting thing happening right now. lol

My point is that it is taking too long. Previews for ep. 24-25 and she's still not fully "warm" yet. AND they got a years long separation coming. So how many "happy" episodes are we getting exactly?
So for those of you who love long drawn out, never-ending courtship...you got your wish.
lol
When Lady Meng is talking translation says "I heard -my- Aunt took care of you while in Shuang..."
Is that correct - is it Lady Meng's or Young Masgter Bu's Aunt?
I'm just asking b/c why would Lady Meng need someone else to take a gift to her Aunt.
