I know we're getting some "Kings Affection" action but that's just TOOO funny. When does Cui Jinbai finally find out the person he loves is actually a woman.

I read somewhere that 9th prince is gonna eventually poison his future wife. Is that true?

Think about what Prince Xin says. Even if she's Crown Princess for a few years, that's enough to secure her position and that of her family. And then she'd be a powerful widow that no one would bother.

She's after power. Potentially being the Empress temporarily or Crown Princess temporarily, securing her new family and her own position means she can live a comfortable life. Remember she's never felt romantic love for anyone. She wants to live freely and secure her family.

And this was with her being the beloved consort of one of the Emperor's favored sons. She wants power so she doesn't have to meet that kind of end again. She's not going to get power by playing nice and being likable.

She was pawn in her last life who watched her entire family get slaughtered b/c they ended on the wrong side of political power struggle. The only "power" she had in the situation was to sacrifice her own life to wipe out the family that did hers end.

So he has a wife, a concubine and a son? Correct? The Madam Rui is a concubine? - and she married in as a consort.

She poisoned herself to set-up the Fan family which was the 'cause of her family's downfall. She wiped them out as well with that one decision.

Been wondering that as well. This rebirth seems to be more a second chance at life, more than a revenge plot. To learn from her past mistakes and do better. There's no one for her to take revenge on, so it's just a chance to "do better" and not repeat the mistakes of the past.

Why does it have to be sensible? And she's not abusing him? If anything he's abusing her. She just needs cover so young ladies won't approach her and hanging out with him solves that. No ladies approach him b/c of his standing and reputation.

So Prince Xin is about to be a problem.

I love the cross dresser. She's hilarious.

Some thoughts:

2. Is Prince Xin gonna throw his hat in the ring at some point?
3. I was wondering how they were gonna deal with two full brothers liking the same woman, but looks like that's gonna be resolved.
4. Is this a marriage at the end of the season or marriage at the middle of the season type of show?
5. I would be nice if they stuck with some of the cases for a bit. They get resolved too quickly. But I guess they are gonna spend most of the time on the "who poisoned ML" case. Which makes sense. I get it.

I wonder if we're gonna get this backstory in the series.

I was thinking outside of that. She could have loved him and never forgave him for that. I'm not expecting her to want to be with him. I just think she had no feelings for him at all.

So she really didn't love her husband, huh?

She makes it clear she doesn't want to live with all her family dead. The bonus was taking the other family down with her.
