My one complaint with this show is it is terrible with letting you know the passage of time.
In episode 16 it seems like she's only been gone for a couple of months.
Episode 17 the Emperor dies - we don't know how much time we're talking between the revelation that his Master is plotting against the family and the Emperor dying.
Episode 18 someone mentions the mourning period is near an end.
She doesn't regret exposing the rhubarb in the medicine. They were poisoning her mom. She couldn't let that stand.…
No. That's not how that was described. She said she should have focused on taking care of her mom, and not her childish antics - not that she shouldn't have exposed them.
FL is full of regret and realises she had been wrong in exposing the rhubarb in the medication. We see some character…

Wasn't it said in Ep. 9 that Min Jeongwoo's father was the greatest prime minister of all time? I have a strong…
Well that's been my assumption the bulk of the series. That he was behind or knew a lot of shenanigans b/c a lot of his power is still tied tied to the Crown. And he's secretly trying to abolish them.
Writers only rush endings because they can't write the first half well. It's not about the quantity of the episodes;…
The first 8 (7 and 3/4) of this series was written well. Good pacing. Wrapped things up quickly. Moved the story along. And then they screwed the pooch in the third act.
I don’t know what people mean when they say this drama follows typical cliché tropes. What’s all the hate…
No. Yes, I keep giving K-Dramas a shot b/c so many of them start off really well and then - for reasons I will never understand - in the third act, decide to change everything we know about a character and create silliness for the sake of silliness. Just b/c something has always been done doesn't mean it needs to keep being done.
A lot of romcom kdramas used to be worse than this tbh..
Oh I know. I started watching one 'cause the premise was cute, next thing I know by episode 5 they are running for their lives and there's a whole secret King plot. lol
Is the prince just gonna huff and puff and not throw the whole bunch of conspirators into disarray?! Like dude…
Modern crown story my rear end. Give me some of that old-school Ancient drama scheming. No offense to Baby King he shoulda been deposed by now and they should be taking the heads of his mom, grandpa and the PM.
exactllyyyyyy -- why write the characters as such rebels in the beginning to then give us this?
They did a complete 180 with their characters to give us tired tropes no one asked for. I don't understand.
Man give me a historical drama any day b/c the scheming concubine/low-status wife would at least be poisoning everyone right now and setting people up on false murder chargers for effing with her man and her status.

I need a clear timeline here. SMH

She's a piss poor scheming concubine.
So amateurish.
She needs to learn from the Yangxi Palace ladies.
