Well, a woman who clearly recognises that her partner/lover keeps manipulating her (and everyone around him) and putting her in danger, yet still ends up with him - it's maybe somehow realistic (but would be more so if the woman weren't able to realise it), but definitely not logical :).

Above-average among dozens of versions of this storyline, the romance has rare funny moments, and I didn't want to kill ML every 30 seconds like it typically happens.

Just a bit disappointed that in the end the writer was more tired than she was of conquering the land, and his writing was no longer meticulous (I missed reading Lu Songli's thoughts and breaking things down).

Many dramas later, I'm starting to appreciate more and more how balanced and equal the ML and FL were here, comparing their strengths and abilities.
Typically in so-called "power couples", the ML saves the FL way too many times to seriously consider them as the one, but here, the FL clearly doesn't feel like someone who would struggle without the ML around, nor is she dumbed down, like the majority of FLs are.

Yes, it has and the final episodes are much better compared to the Pursuit of Jade (I assumed, you put it wrongly a PUJ)
I think you would enjoy it, but it's slower paced than POJ.

This sounds like a very strong recommendation for me.

Maybe it will prove to be better than "Generation to Generation", at least the ML here doesn't seem to be red flag and the FL isn't smart and dumb at the same time.

Pretty much every Novel I've read (or anime I've watched) was done AFTER I watched a drama/movie.
It fits really well.
Currently reading the original novel of "Queen of the Battlefield" Microdrama.

Well, after watching so many trash, red flag MLs putting their partneres in impossible situations and ruining dramas for me (hello "Generation to Generation"), I wouldn't mind watching a highly manipulative FL.
I doubt it will happen here, though.

It's another thing where the Douban clearly does it better, as it takes 1/2 or maybe even 2/3 drama to have opening rating published.

From what I remember reading during the broadcast, it was a high-budgeted drama. Maybe not the highest budget, but high enough.

If you know what you want, they can be much more enjoyable in 2026 than big-production dramas. At least they try new things, scenarios, etc...

Chu Qiao hated him and she pretty much butchered him in extremely ( and surprisingly) short fight.
