This one is probably higher rated and more acclaimed, but personally I liked "Justice High" more; the female lead there also looked more legit as a martial artist.
For example, I really disliked how close the final was here.
Fan Shua Qi is The Queen! All the actresses doing gender bender, take lessons from her on how to live a character…
Not sure if you watched it, but despite some shortcomings, the one in 'Fighting for Love" was probably even better. The actress there really did go 110% playing a man, Still, it was fun to ask my nieces about Bu Shu Lin's gender :).
I finished BoP last week and already rewatching. I've watched Blossom a few times. I love both Dou Zhou in Blossom…
Wow, finally someone spotted it; I felt so alone writing about that before, while ML's fangirls were singing praises about him :). All, while I was thinking, do these people not see what ML was doing the moment the female lead took a step back from him? If the writers didn't make her choose him, he would be just another obsessed delulu creep. All the signs were there.
Yall actually start a drama by looking at the ratings? ðŸ˜Most of the dramas I've watched was because the thumbnail…
Personally, I start looking at ratings, next tags, then gloss over reviews/comments, and then I decide. Sometimes I am willing to risk it more (for example, when there is an actress I like to watch), but in general, these are my steps which are working well for me.
Also, I'm not hesitating to drop dramas quickly; "Shadow Love" and "Overdo" are two examples where I stopped after the 2nd episode, and it seems to be the right decision.
I look at it a bit differently. Maybe on a "Cut/pretty" level I would agree, but on "beautiful"? This word is way overused, like a "10" rating on MDL :). How many people wouldn't call someone like Wang Chu Ran beautiful? Not too many, and for quite some time I have used her as a "beautiful" standard. Cheers.
6.8? Is it really that bad? I wanted to start it because it used to be so hyped.
I am watching dramas mostly for the smart, capable female leads; the more beautiful they are, the better (thank you, captain obvious). Plus, of course, I have some expectations on cinematography, storyline, etc...
I dropped it after the 2nd episode, and despite it having Wang Chu Ran, IMO the most beautiful actress in C-drama land, I'm reluctant as hell to pick it up again.
I'm sure it ticks different boxes for some people, but based on what I've read in the comments, I know I would hate it.
And yes, missing on WCR walking and running around in qipaos stings a bit :).
when you let anyone male/female wrap you around their finger you'll just end up like Murong Qingyi
In principle, I agree, but didn't he pretty much wrap himself? It's not like Ren Su Su here was like the ML from "Blossom of Power" trying everything possible to make the female lead love him.
For example, I really disliked how close the final was here.
Cheers.

Unfortunately, he got it back later.

Also, after checking it, my friend said that you have a unique definition of "beautiful" :).
Nice one.
Even if this puts a target on your back ;).
But then - ".Even today, women have to work twice as hard to prove themselves"
I will have to target you personally for speaking nonsense ;)
Asking for a friend, obviously :).
