Yeah. It’s hard for me to suspend my disbelief, given what they were doing juuuuust before the phone call. 🤷🏼‍♀️ At any rate, the show is good and I’m nervous about the upcoming angst 🫣

Halfway through episode 2 and a couple thoughts:1) I thought this was a romcom 🥺things went south very quickly and suddenly it’s becoming serious 😬2) I get that the FL got unexpected news about her mom, but really…? After the phone call you didn’t even have a THOUGHT to shout into the bathroom on your way out of the hotel room to let the ML know an emergency came up? I’m sorry, but even in the most dire circumstances I find it hard to believe that anyone in the FL’s position would completely not think to let the guy you’ve been making out with / almost having sex with know that an emergency came up and you had to leave asap. 🤦🏼‍♀️ 3) I hope the angst doesn’t drag too much. With only 14 episodes I hope that this won’t be a situation where we got all the fluff and happiness in the beginning only for the rest of the show to be a desert for the lead’s romance.

Slooowly making my way through episode 2. DAMN THIS ML THOUGH 😍😍. Straightforward, no beating around the bush, blunt and honest. 👌🏻🥵 It’s so hot.

I’m scratching my head trying to make sense of the synopsis 🤔What exactly is this one about?

Yah I just need to watch the 2nd episode. I have been busy with work, my partner being back home and then we are going through Blossom 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m gonna have to watch episode 2 in bits and pieces I think. During my little pockets of free time 🙇🏼‍♀️

It’s confusing 😂I mean we had that 🔥 kiss in episode 1, I hear they also kiss again in episode 2… and now she’s gonna lie about being married in order to get a job, but how is anyone gonna believe it after those kisses? I’m confused 😂 Like is the ML really going to be expected to believe it? And also if he is going to believe it, then how can they develop a romance between the two without it feeling icky? 🤔 I have a lot of questions 🤣

I am not in a huuuge hurry because we won’t get the next episodes until next week 😂 But I am excited to! I’m a bit iffy on her lying to him though.

Does she tell the ML that she’s married? And after the first episode is he really expected to believe it? 😂 Haven’t been able to watch episode 2 yet.

I have this one in my watchlist, but I hate dragged out lies and secret-keeping. I’ll keep an eye out for how it develops and see how long they drag it out for 🤔It makes me happy to see how many people love it so far. It exploded on my feeds today lol

I actually thought the opposite - while I am enjoying HL, I felt the magnetism of the leads in TFF more. I think it’s probably because over half of the show the FL was very childish (it was the point of the show, I get), whereas Yifan was less so as she was traumatized. Both shows are very different, but HL was much more youthful. I LOVE LOVE Jiaxu though. Gosh CZY is incredibly talented. I would love to see him in a show with BTJ.

I had a hard time really getting into the high school parts of the story, but I completely get the necessity of it, and they did a good job portraying an unreciprocated high school crush. I don’t know if I would be appreciating the college years as much if they didn’t take time developing their history. I’m on episode 13 now and things are certainly developing - they’re circling around each other at this point, and that circle is getting smaller. It’s cute. I don’t think I like it as much as TFF, as it’s a little hard for me to watch the ongoing non-communication, miscommunications and deflections, even if it makes sense for the leads. It just isn’t my style of story, but it’s cute. I know that communication was slow in TFF as well, but the entire story didn’t center around it and highlight it like it does with HL. I think I gravitate a bit more to TFF, but that isn’t to say that I’m not enjoying this one. And it’s GREAT seeing CZY in a different role. His character is wonderful in this one- I really really love the ML.

I’m five episodes into Hidden Love and struggling a little bit. They’re super cute, but I’m ready for her to be a grown up now lol. I get that they need to set the foundation for their romance, but yeeeaaahhh I’m ready for the adult stuff.

I’m hoping it won’t be like LitC where they lie and keep secrets until the last third of the show.

The writers were CRUEL for the end of 15 🤣

This makes a LOT of sense. I appreciate the insight because I’ve been wondering about this for a long time.
