💗Some Spoilers 💗If you are watching just for Xu Kai although he is the main lead he has very few scenes. The story focuses around the FL and has many subplots or side characters with major storylines. The story is centered around the FL and other characters who work/live in the palace and ML is a general outside the palace; Servents are not allowed to leave the palace so they barely interwine. In my opinion, the subplots / side characters were not boring so it was interesting to watch. However the FL did annoy me.
I don't find her that interesting and their are many misunderstandings. ML gets jealous of FL and her many suitors and FL never clears up the miss-understandings. They instead go episodes without speaking and FL doesn't build the courage to speak to him and just pouts. I just find these types of miss-understandings annoying because it could have been solved with her saying 2-3 sentences but lasted maybe 25+ episodes. On top of that the 2ml purposely creates division against her and the ML by making it seem like they have feelings for each other when in front of the ML. Again FL never clears the air. FL also obediently listen to 2ML and he is a prince so she has to listen but also it's not like he's going to order her to get beheaded because if that happens he can't be with her so she really didn't have to listen. Their are many scenes were I question can she just complain to HR or the empress but she doesn't and it's annoying. Their was also another scene were a woman obediently listens + followers a man whom she is not married to and he tricks her and kidnaps her. Again very annoying how they obediently listened to these men who are clearly not trustworthy. To be honest expect Princess Xin Nan the women's decisions in these stories were questionable as in I don't think they are emotionally mentally or intellectually sound. Even so I enjoyed the interesting storylines with the exception of consort sun ling she was crazy. I also did not like that this was 55 episodes and I feel their were so many subplots but there were also so many pot wholes and storylines that could have lasted longer or had a better ending. I liked how Lu Ying Ying and Prince Liang Started off bad but turned in a redemption arc but they did that only for him to die.
Like any historical drama the emperor is an easily influenced idiot who can't make decisions for himself. The emperor and Empress also favored/sheltered the crown prince who should have been demoted in the first 18 episodes and ignored/punished the two younger brother who were more capable even after the crown prince commits many unforgivable sins. What also bothered me about the emperor and Empress is how hot headed they were. So quick to beat someone to death even when they are in the wrong.
This was a good filler drama to watch in between shows. It could have been written better but still ok.
I just finished all my heavy dramas and I haven’t started this yet but how goes it? It seems pretty complicated…
I am on Ep.23 The beginning is boring and it's confusing to me because you don't get the full story you have to wait for them to show all the flashbacks. But it picked up after ep.13. This is a sequel to Princess Agents I haven't watched it but some people in the comments dislike the way it was written. I've also seen people complain about LYR not having a lot of scenes in the script but it slowly increases towards the end. The first episodes were really boring to me but I was watching 2 shows at once so when I got bored I started watching the other show. Also it has a romance label but it's more historical
For those of you who liked the 2ML and 2FL better. You might like my journey to you. The 2ML and 2FL is also toxic in that drama. Although the romance element is different in POJ, 2ML loves her and is overly obsessive. Where as in My Journey to You they are both mutually toxic and mutually not obsessed with one another. I like the 1FL and 1ML better in POJ but I liked the 2ML and 2FL better in My journey to you. My journey to you also has ZLH as a Main Lead too. Also there is Dark Romance on iQlYl just released 22 episodes. It's not exactly the same romance wise either it's more dark romance. ML doesn't actually love FL but it's about a toxic relationship. Let me know if you watch it and like it too.
I didn't like the overall storyline. I liked ML and FL's story but the overall story is not centered on ML and FL. ML and FL are on a mission to discover their origins and dismantle an evil sect responsible for devouring peoples souls. They meet friends along their journey who have their own missions and also want to help eliminate the evil sect. So the story is more so about their journey together as a group rather than FL and ML individually. The problem I found in this is that in my opinion the side characters are boring. The storylines for the side characters are also unnecessary, filler, or just not interesting. The writer was also very creative when writing the storyline and the stories are either just not that interesting or confusing or unnecessary. I tried to watched dropped before the last 5 episodes. Might go back and watch later.
I am on my way to Episode 12 at this stage haha! I don't get bored. But not sure if this is better than Fated…
Chen Zheyuans acting in Fated Hearts was too good! I liked Wonderland of Love better only because I wish Fated Hearts had more romance scenes. I also liked the ending better of Wonderland of Love better too but only because I wished they omitted the amensia plot in Fated Hearts. To be honest, Fated hearts is still my top enemies to lover I don't consider this enemies to lovers because they were not even enemies for that long. lol 😂 Overall as a romance drama I still like wonderland of love better than Fated Hearts.
I am just realizing that the ML is the same ML who should of been a 3rd ML in my journey to you. I love him in this drama the story was well written 😭💗

He joins the police force at 18 and is mentored by FLs dad. So a large part of the storyline involves FLs dad mentoring him, work related scenes, and the other part is their romantic relationship together and their friends. The story starts off in 1970 but progresses as the characters get older. The last episode is set in 2017. Although ML and FL develop feelings for each other early on their are very few romance scenes between ML and FL. First kiss is ep.16 they don't get married until episode 36. There is only one kiss scene but they do show other types of affection like cuddling hugging holding hands but very little. Most of the times they are not alone and FLs dad is present so not much happens. Without spoiling the storyline to much FLs dad dislikes ML so he is afraid to date her. They still secretly date behind his back than openly date without his approval. He basically spends a large part of the storyline trying to get her father's approval. No love triangle. Their is another woman who is interested in him but their storyline together is very short. If you pay attention you notice ML always liked FL but because FLs dad disaproved he tried with someone else but they only last 2-3 episodes. They only have 1 break up. They break up around ep 34-35 very shortly than get back together by episode 36. Happy ending yes.
