omg I remember this kdrama. The OG makjang. I was obsessed with it and she ate with this show.

Nah just big eyes. Everytime he’s on my screen I can’t take him seriously. Yet three women was driven to despair for him. No four. Yu Ping should be included. Just what’s so great about being entangled with him.

I love the main women in this show. They really aren’t overshadowed by their male counterparts. Damsels in distress. Usually for male centered cultivation cdramas like this the women are meant to be a sort of romance interest on the sidelines to provide moral support and get saved. Half the time they are there as eye candy for the male audience but damn these women in this show are badass. I LOVE IT. And the male lead so swoon worthy. The way Xin Mei took justice into her own hands regardless of the consequences. The fact Lu Qian Qiao also would go above and beyond for Xin Mei too. No implied harem. Just these two love interest. They have the same temper ngl.

Everytime Ci Sha is on my screen he looks like he doesn’t want to be here. His acting is so wooden. I know he’s supposed to have that cold look but he’s always looking to the side with idgaf face. Is he suppose to be a cold male lead or a wood.

Yeah well I do watch cdramas based off user rating because I don’t want to blindly hop into a cdram commit to it and they do something that didn’t sit right with me. I could have avoided this by just looking at the reviews. That’s why the reviews are there.

Oh you’re talking about Pursuit of Jade. That comparison isn’t the same at all. I would have understood if you were comparing this to Melody of Golden Age since yeah she was underage when they were filming this and there is a kiss scene involved. Pursuit of jade is completely different because both the actors are grown adults and the age gap is realistic for that time. And she’s not even underage in the tv show she’s 18. Key to the phoenix heart is getting hate because she’s ACTAULLY 17. And not only that the production team deceived Huo Ming Hao. He didn’t know she was going to be the fml. A minor.
