Questions about the new lady

We didn't move much with the plot, but I have a question now about the relationship between that new lady in the brothel and Yun Zhishui—could they be siblings or close relatives? They both had the surname Mo, didn't they? 🤔

Laughs and giggles, villains acting out, and crossed fingers

The first part of the episode entertained me in the best way possible! Bong-Hwan realising with whom So-Yong had spent the night—and even enjoyed it—caused all sorts of mixed feelings, misunderstandings, and a game of cat and mouse, leading up to a very honest conversation by the lake. 😂🤗Cheol-Jong confessed his feelings to So-Yong, and to no surprise, the reasons why he liked her were mostly Bong-Hwan's personality. I don't know how the story will end on this matter because, at this point, Bong-Hwan's character growth is very noticeable. I think he is becoming very used to So-Yong's body and being a woman, even if he denies it at every possibility—including using that as a reason and a shield to reject Cheol-Jong's feelings. 🤔💔The second part of the episode was darker. Our villains attempted to poison So-Yong, but little Dam-hyang interfered and saved her by throwing a stone at the bowl. Everything that followed left me tense and worried about the little court lady. She was arrested for reasons only villains could think were justified, then imprisoned, and sentenced to death by poison... A five-year-old girl! 😤😯The last few minutes of the episode made me question many things, but it was the King's smart play, yet again! After a very heated argument between him and the Queen, standing next to the girl's body in the middle of the courtyard with everyone watching, the King turned away and walked off... But then the Queen noticed he was holding his fingers crossed behind his back as a sign that he was lying—something he had learned from his wife's "language" and never forgot. 🤞✨ What a relief! I can breathe now and move on to the next episode. 😮‍💨🙌

Our leads have gone through so much...

OMG, our leads in Joseon went through so much because of the King. He probably chose to take her as his concubine just so his brother wouldn't be able to have her, and then framed her and had her killed—all to torture his brother, the Ghost Prince. I wonder why he felt so threatened by him? 🤔And now Choi Mun-Do is planning pretty much the same again against Cha Se-Gye, using Shin Seo-Ri the same way he did with Kang Dan-sim. What a scoundrel! 😤 I am quite sure her knowledge of those past events, and her likely future celebrity status, will be great obstacles to his plans. ☝️And what was with that weird act when Mun-Do and Se-Gye were children? He was so power-hungry and greedy already in childhood that he started poisoning Se-Gye's grandfather's mind even then? And how could the grandfather be so easily swayed to some distant cousin's side without clarifying the situation? 🤔😤I want to learn more about the history there... and why was the distant cousin brought to their home in the first place!? 🤨Apart from that, I really enjoyed all the little comedy elements and the rom-com moments we got. I am also quite invested in that supporting character—the guy with all the part-time jobs who steals the side dishes from our girl... 🤗😂 But yes—this show is amazing so far, and I cannot wait patiently enough for tomorrow's episode! Our lead couple is amazing—both the actors AND the characters! I love them both! ❤️

Who is the "Royal Nemesis"?

Our female lead just keeps impressing me. Even though she is thrown into a very unfamiliar environment—without luxuries and forced to live very humbly—she still strives... and, to be honest, the results are pretty good. 😉👍However, her backstory is quite sad and disturbing at some level. The way she was bullied was quite hard to watch. No wonder she had to grow thick skin and her villainous, ruthless character—it was all to survive so that no one would bully her anymore. 🫢😔Another interesting point is that she apparently fell in love with her saviour, the guy who looks exactly like Cha Se-Gye, and to make things even more interesting, his cousin Choi Mun-Do is an exact copy of the King. Does this mean those two guys are reincarnated souls of the Joseon royalty? And I wonder why Kang Dan-Sim didn't recognize Cha Se-Gye as the guy from Joseon? Which one is the "Royal Nemesis" the title refers to now? Or could it be all three of them to one another? 🤔And please, give us more scenes with our leads hugging under the rain of petals or other nice, romantic droplets! ❤️

Plot starts to change from the original

Because of Lin Lusheng's meddling in the story's events, the plot has slightly changed. But even then, she is still capable of wiggling out of dangerous situations. I just wonder how much longer she will be able to trick the bad guys? 🤔That lady who promised Yun Zhishui that she won't harm 'the girl' seems like quite an interesting addition. I wonder if she will be a villain of sorts or an ally? 🤔

My favourite duo

It kind of got me all giggling when Zhao Wumian was so serious telling that courtesan that only the woman he would marry would be allowed to touch him, and then acting kind of shy and stuttering while discussing with Lin Lusheng whether he's ever been in love. Is that a bit of foreshadowing there, eh? 😉🤭To be fair, I find myself enjoying the duo of Lin Lusheng and Zhao Wumian the most. 😏 Liu Runming's character, Yun Zhishui, seems like a righteous hero always trying to do the right thing (despite the roles I've seen him play in vertical short dramas). The younger one, Shi Tingyu, seems a bit too young and like he should be the most protected, while the fourth one, Han Fengyi, gives off more of a flirty vibe, even if I've seen him the least.

Respect and love to King Cheoljong!

I just want to applaud the King! 👏 Kim Jwa-Geun thought he had set such a marvelous trap, yet he was outsmarted by Cheoljong’s own well-planned trap! And he even managed to put everyone in their places, even the Grand Queen Dowager! It was so enjoyable to watch. The scene was perfect! 🤌 I was truly afraid for him while it was happening.I must add, I loved how So-Yong actually fought to get to the King. She was so worried and terrified that he might die. I wonder if he actually heard that confession about a future betrayal that the Queen whispered into his deaf ears? 🤔The reveal of the pressure the Kims put on her before her suicide attempt—and seeing them try it again—is just unacceptable! They all must be punished. As for the cousin, I still want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I don't know if he’s redeemable anymore. Hwajin is also getting worse, turning more into a villain with every episode! 😤😠But I can't help but wonder what will happen next after that beautiful night the Queen doesn't remember... 🤭😏

A "fake" couple 🤭

The old woman worked perfectly to push Lin Lusheng and Zhao Wumian closer. Working only with couples, eh? 😉🤭 Every word Lusheng says and everything she does just makes Wumian, the hedgehog, fall in awe of her more and more. His reaction to that little peck on his cheek, the unplanned hand-holding, and him forbidding anyone to touch her—all are signs that he's definitely the one! 🥰🤭But now they both must survive whatever the old lady did to them. 😨

A very tight spot 🤭

Yeah, Lin Lusheng's turning this way and that in such a tight spot while being practically glued to Zhao Wumian definitely didn't help him keep his cool! He is starting to look at her differently. But I think he maybe started even before she gave all their money to that kid. 🤭

Is there any mystery regarding Zhao Wumian?

Why would they need Zhao Wumian exactly? Hmm, could there be some mystery regarding his character? 🤔That girl died so quickly! I wondered about the scene where she said she would trust them while putting her hand on top of all of theirs, but then suddenly, only she and Lin Lusheng were in the room. Were the four constables just an illusion? 🤷‍♀️

Mu Yu and Cheng He not allowing each other's death while they live

In one of the previous episodes, Mu Yu said Cheng He's death is not allowed, and now Cheng He has said the same about Mu Yu. They have such a strong bond! 🤭🤗 I really appreciate the Patriarch's decision and quite enjoyed listening to the reasons why he's feeling different about everything now. But will Su Mu Yu really take the Dragon Sword? I don't know... but the next episode will give us a fight for it! ⚔️As always, it's a pure joy for me to watch Rabbit and Black Tortoise, as she always tries to flirt and tease him while he tries to keep himself together. I can hardly wait for them to finally give in to the affection they have for each other! 🤭❤️ I also really love Black Tortoise's character—how fair and righteous he is. He didn't go for the kill with the Patriarch and let him live for the time he has left, because death will take him soon anyway. He is one of my favorite characters, I must say! 🤗

The "hedgehog" must be the one!

The one who followed her when she accidentally ran into the evil guy was the "hedgehog," not the other guys. He's the one, I tell you! 🤗🤭And I don't believe that the evil guy believed her excuse... He couldn't have, right? 🤔🤷‍♀️

OMG, the plausibility in this show....

This show is silly. The FL pulling out a laptop in a comic world and expecting to have Wi-Fi... 🤪 And recognizing the man in the drawing is possible only after adding just one extra stroke... ehh... plausibility is not this short drama's strong suit. 🙄

I bet her love interest will be the one she doesn't like at all

I bet her real love interest will turn out to be the one of the four she doesn't even care about. What was his name—Wumian? 🤗🤭Their dynamic already feels more interesting than with the rest of the guys. Maybe it's because I am a fan of the "enemies to lovers" trope. Even if they aren't exactly enemies, they certainly aren't friendly either!

Watching for Liu Runming

Watching this for Liu Runming. Will see how this goes! 🤭🤔 So far looks quite silly. Scenes and dialogs remind a lot of children/teen Disney shows.
