What the helll
Man, this show is a wild ride. The translation I watched was absolute trash, but hey, it’s got La Pasion, so who cares? The Emperor?? Doesn’t even feel like an emperor. And that concubine, Jiang Ziyan is so dumb—how did he even manage to fool her in the first life? But listen, the ML’s La Pasion moments?? That’s the real reason to watch this fever dream of a reverse harem. Him acting all frail and desperate for her attention had me kicking my legs like a schoolgirl. Was this review helpful to you?

Such a Thrilling Mystery Drama
From start to finish it story was brilliant. It's a well planed and very very eye catching drama. The visuals? Absolutely eye-catching. The colors, the vibes—it was all crazy. iQiyi really outdid themselves, crafting a show that’s gonna be remembered forever. The story hit that sweet spot with just the right mix of thrill and romance. Now, let’s talk about Angelababy. She really outdid herself with this one. Sure, she was “sleeping” for most of it, but when she was on screen? She delivered. Honestly, I prefer her acting here over her 2025 drama EL.
And the pacing? Wild. A new story almost every two episodes? That’s next-level. CiCi Wang—I gotta say, she turned me into a fan real quick with her role as a supporting character. She owned it. WAY, he was serving the entire time. His face card? Never declines. This drama? Unforgettable.

YeeeY give us NOTHING
I don’t have any beef with the actors , they did their jobs but hell no, don’t ever give us this plot again.I was expecting something a little spicy and logical, but instead they handed us a giant red flag wrapped in severe obsession.
I love Hu Yi Yao and her dominant, rich-lady energy, but this helpless damsel character? Meh. She’s gorgeous, so I tolerated it, but obsessed? Yeah, no.
The real issue? The story straight up tanked it. Sure, thank god they’re not actually siblings, but the way the ML acted made me wanna throw up. He’s not the reddest red flag I’ve ever seen, but he’s definitely not making it onto my "Delulu Hot ML Characters of 2025" list.
And don’t even get me started on 2ML, looked like a boy, acted like a boy. Zero appeal.
The ending? Those last two episodes? Even the director looked like they were sprinting to finish and slapped whatever they could together.
That random amnesia plot twist? Cringe to the heavens.

Went Psycho, Stayed Boring
Honestly, I wasn’t even planning to watch this show at first , I totally misunderstood the plot. But then it started airing and I thought, “Heck, why not?” Especially since Park Eun Bin was in it. And man, once Jung Se Ok went full chaos mode with those wild emotions, I was hooked. Like, episodes 4 to 5 had me in a chokehold. But then it kind of lost steam. Her emotional cycle just kept looping: rage → kill someone → act like a princess→ rage again. It got repetitive real quick. It wasn’t bad, just stuck in a loop. And don’t even get me started on that ending. Meh. Really not my vibe.
I’ll give props, watching two brilliant and absolutely unhinged people go off the rails was refreshing in its own way. But as a viewer, especially toward the last two episodes, it all started to feel kinda flat. Wish they stuck the landing better.

Give me more pls give me MORE
As a short Chinese drama, they seriously outdid themselves.First off, the FL? That face? So handsome I honestly wouldn’t have questioned it if someone told me she was actually a “he.” But at the same time, she’s so pretty, especially through Pei Shen Zhi’s eyes. And don’t even get me started on the ML. Man’s so pretty, I kept forgetting he’s not the female lead.
Acting wise, the FL and ML were pretty solid. Those spicy scenes? Definitely not mild.
But the villains... yeah, that acting had me cringing a bit. Just felt off.
What I really appreciated was how the FL carried herself like a true king. No awkward “I’m pretending to be regal but don’t know what I’m doing” energy, she owned it. I’ve seen other female kings try and flop hard, but not this one.
And the ML? Total love at first sight guy. Dude sacrificed everything for her.
What was refreshing though? The FL actually let him. No 10 episode back and forth of “No, I’ll sacrifice myself!” Nope. Straight to the point.
The ending though… yeah, it hurt. I would've loved to see the ML become her “queen” or royal consort, just living their best life together. Give us a few minutes of them being happy and ruling side by side, was that too much to ask?

How to make a drama 42 episode of pain
Man, watching that show felt like a chore halfway through. It’s like they grabbed three random storylines and mashed them together like, "Yeah, this'll work." Spoiler: it didn’t. I didn’t even hate the ML, dude's just straight-up unhinged. But honestly, he’s the only one bringing any heat to the series. The FL though? Pure dumb. I get it, revenge for the fam and all, but girl’s out here causing him more pain than the actual villains. And to top it off, she’s out here targeting the wrong dude. Like, c’mon. And ZYY’s final moments? Comedy gold. That man was a walking L, thinking he’s the mastermind but looking pathetic the whole time. The fact that he was the “real” enemy? Yeah, I ain’t buying it.Then there’s Daisy Li with that half-smirk in the last episode… like, what was that even supposed to mean? Trying to act all deep and mysterious when the whole plot is already in shambles.
Honestly, the story was trash. Made zero sense, confusing as hell, and don’t even get me started on the non-existent character development.

Where’s the Ending?? Pack My Bags, I'm Moving to China
I’m not gonna lie, I actually enjoyed it. FL is a total badass, smart as hell too. She made money, reputation, friends and speedran her way into getting the rich family's golden grandson. And even after stacking all that W, she still chose to stand on her own two feet? I think so, 'cause the ending felt kinda chopped, maybe the link I watched was cut short or something. Either way, it was worth it.
Yeah, the plot’s mad predictable and cliché, but FL’s visuals and mindset? Absolute chef’s kiss. She doesn’t hesitate to slap anyone who dares block her path. Love that energy.
As for the ML, he's just there. Like a fancy little chihuahua, looks good, acts rich (barely), but doesn’t really do much else.

You dont need subs for this drama
Did I watch it without waiting for subs? Yup. But did I still vibe with it, even with my broken Japanese? Hell yes. Kanako’s switch-up was hilarious, and Sakurai’s reaction to her serious mode? Even funnier. They really stacked this show with all the big names for a reason. I can’t imagine anyone else pulling off the serious detective role like Yamazaki Hirona. The way she’s all tsundere about being in love with her coworker? Classic. Then there’s the Kanako’s mom, and her love story wrapped up in just six episodes, wild.I still need some more time to fully get Hosomi’s character, though. We needed a bit more depth there, I think. But honestly, watching a regular office worker go from zero to assassin? Total blast. All that chaos was pure fun.

Once in Death, Twice in Love
I devoured that plot like a drink of water in the desert. Zhang Wan Yi? Man, I've seen him in other dramas before, and he owns that "cold to others, soft for wifey" character. Never gets old. And Jing Tian? She killed it. Now, about the ending, I don’t hate it. It was subtle but satisfying. The villains get what they deserve, and the MCs rise to power after their whole "saving the world" or "helping the emperor" arc. Classic. What’s crazy is how many dramas have this exact plot, yet this one still kept me hooked. That said, Namwu and some other stuff felt way too rushed. We barely got to understand it. Du Er and the Namwu people should’ve had way more screen time. We legit saw Er Niu (the adorable dog) more than them. And the emperor? Not even gonna call him naive, he’s just stupid. Man refuses to see his sister’s faults and even says he’ll let it slide if she "realizes her mistakes." Like, really? Also, why does the court have only one minister that actually speaks? Zhen Heng is out there doing all the work while every other high-ranking, supposedly important minister is just... mentioned? Where were they when things went down? And Lu Chu Chu, where’s her father? Her backstory? All we got was "she ran away." That’s it? Jiang Qiao, too. Did I miss something? Because in the second life, she changed her behavour, and we got zero explanation.
But even with all those unanswered details, I'd still rewatch it and love every second. Because the MCs’ chemistry? Insane. Their steamy moments might be few, but they’re unforgettable.

What in the reborn life
Got reborn just to be dumb all over again? The real villain here ain’t even the stepsister, it’s FL’s trash father.I had high hopes when she picked up that sword, thought we were gonna see some real growth. But nah, she just stands there, waiting to get clapped. Disappointing. And let’s talk about FL’s stepmom in the second life, way too much aura. I need another 77 episodes just for her to get reborn and end up with a man who actually deserves her.
That gorgeous but undeniably wicked stepmother? Yeah, I get why that pathetic excuse of a father was down bad for her.
And why is my rating still sky-high when they straight-up refused to wash the maids’ clothes at 1:18:54? That crusty sleeve looked scarier than half the budget horror flicks out there. But let’s be real, the reason is ML. Two lifetimes, two chances, and he still chose her. That’s commitment.

What the hell did i just watched!!!
It's disgusting. I mean it, scenario and everything is disgusting. I have never ever hated a ML so much. And FL is the top 3 most stupidest FL.After everthing he causes, she forgives him ??!! why, WHYYYY. And he doesnt even tries to make excuses anymore. Who thought this drama would even made sense in any way.
I'm so sad about her parents death. She should had get revenge. Not only from that side girl but also from the ML.
Someone get her a lobotomy cause she needs is ASAP. The only thing this drama made me feel was rage.

Scheming but beautiful
This drama had me gasping at every twist and turn, absolute perfection from start to finish! 30 episodes of pure scheming, and not once did it disappoint. Our FL? Sharp as a blade, yet she still grows, which makes her even more captivating. And the ML? He’s a lot of things, but at least he’s no hypocrite. I held onto a sliver of hope for a couple of scenes where they’d actually be together, but honestly? Letting them stay true to themselves was the best choice. Every time they locked eyes, all I could think about was that line from The Godfather: "The eye, chico. They never lie." The tension between them? Electrifying. Who needs romance when a single glance carries that much weight? One thing this drama was not is cliché. Even the final rebellion plot, right when I thought, Oh no, here comes the predictable villain move, they twisted it just enough to keep it fresh. And the casting? Spot on. Liu Shishi is Ye Ping’an. That icy aura? Chilling. From A Journey to Love to this, she owns that cold, untouchable energy. And Shawn Dou? The man delivers. A morally grey ML who’s good at heart but isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, his villainous edge was just chef’s kiss. I devoured this drama like medicine, counting down the hours each day until the next episode dropped. Best 18 days of my life.

Such a passionate couple
Their love story wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, fr. But somehow, in just January, they gave us the visual couple of 2025—crazy. Some parts had me rolling my eyes, some were alright, but overall? A tasty little treat for the eyes, and the passion was undeniable. BBK played her role too well—like, I hated her character half the time just because she nailed that spoiled little brat energy so hard. On the other hand, WYT completely stole my heart with her General character. She was a badass but also smart, kind-hearted, and just nice. I could easily watch another 30 episodes just following her own love story. Now, LZZ and LFY? Their story was just sad af. Like, get your own wife, not someone else’s, king. That whole situation was messy. HJY and HWS—the twin twinkles—were just kinda there? They served, but they definitely didn’t eat. And then there’s Xuen Lie… His love is gonna be remembered forever. We love a man who's only soft for his FL, especially when he’s got those visuals. As for Qi Luo, she had the vibes, but why did no one bat an eye when she changed genders yet kept the same face, same everything? That’s gonna stay a mystery forever. Was this review helpful to you?

Ctrl C + Ctrl V But Make It Worse
Hello, can I get a Temu version of Marry My Husband? They copied the whole plot and somehow made it worse. The acting was so bad compared to MMH. Since they copied everything, my mind was constantly comparing the two series.
Why did they even change their jobs to entertainers and make the ML dress like a boytoy? It just made everything feel cheap.
The whole series honestly just made me remember how good MMH actually was.
One thing I liked was that the FL actually looked similar to the original actress, but the fact that her "makeover" never happened made me so sad.
And yeah, there were so many illogical parts and missing details, but I liked how they kept the pacing fast.
If you're looking for a short drama with an interesting plot and you haven't watched Marry My Husband yet, you might enjoy it.

Very kinky very booktok vibes... but honestly not bad at all
At first, I was like, “What in the Wattpad 2015 is this?” But then, the plot hit me. They really packed a whole hot, rich, smart, scheming, and dangerously seductive FL with a cold yet kind and fiercely protective ML, all in just 20 episodes. And honestly, I get why everyone fell for FL. She wasn’t just pretty, she had that irresistible aura that had me blushing the whole time. ML, on the other hand, was straight out of a manhwa, visuals on point, but that rare submissive look? Priceless.
I did appreciate seeing FL’s character growth towards the end. But of course, we couldn’t escape the classic Chinese Republican Era drama clichés. The story itself wasn’t groundbreaking, but the leads’ acting carried the whole thing.
Then came the ending… and let me tell you, I needed four hours just to process whatever that was. 20 episodes of character development, for what? They really had me invested just to pull that? Disappointed to hell.
