Just my two cents, but I think people are going to be disappointed by season 2 because it's a lot more sad and somber, and more frustrating. The happy time is in the first half IMO. I remember every scene from the book in the first half because I re-reread it so many times, but the second half feel like a blur to me. I'm sure the cast is going to do amazing, but the second part is going to be a lot of pain, for BOTH ship too. It's gonna be a rough ride and the good-time viewers will dip
Why do I find it so cute that Yangzi called FBB as Xiao Bei Bei? It sound almost like "Little baby" to my ears. Honestly, I wish FBB exist and is a real option to XY. Fun, free, adventurous and no baggage.. XY deserves someone like that.

Haha to be frank, out of the 4 novels I read from Tonghua, her male leads always irritated/frustrated me at some point. But at the same time, I remember all of them very well. So I do give her that point. What's your petpeeve about XL and CX's portrayal? I really enjoyed their portrayals mainly because they are much better than I imagined them to be, (and not because they are so much hotter, or their attractive voice or great acting ofc).
Yes yes. deliberated, restrained, a little drawn out at some point, that just tug at my heart a little, but not the pitiful kind. idk how to describe it. but when he's trying placate someone like a'nian and xinyue, it's very tender and soft, that he almost talk-whispering. and the way he talk to his subordinates even when they make a mistake. he never raise his voice at them, instead he calmly and steadily reassured them.
i also kind of jumped over the solo CX ship
