It depends on the place you live. In the place i live, its not the exception. Even if in your place of living, this is the rule, no one is obliged to go by the rule.

Im not having a problem looking at his skin, but they overdo it with that smoothing filters and that looooong closeups. Its like watching a commercial or something

and ok if they wanna have an idol drama, then they should show his body too...with less clothing

Not all people want to have kids (in the present or in the future) and not all people have the same needs when it comes to relationships.
She is not done with her life just because she got married and had a son. Life is not over either you are already a parent or you are not/and never will be.
As long as someone finds someone else attractive in any way and its mutual, then that's the first foundation for a relationship.

Im starting to lose interest in the main couple.
Im also getting VERY annoyed and tired by the exreme close-ups to Rowoon. Ok we get it, the skin smoothing filters work just fine, the beauty products also give him a perfect skin, but that's enough.
Then i dont get FL's feelings. Is she into him at all? Its ep 11 and she has to decide, at least if she is attracted to him.
First time in a darma, there are so many interesting elements, AND supernatural ones, but i get so bored

If only we were in a jap drama on that aspect!

I dont value life by reading and following articles of Men's Health (no offence to Men's health).
And i dont live by the rules that other people have. I live according to my rules, my exceptions, while accepting others' rules and their exceptions.
In addition, i dont need any kind of data and no popularity to decide what i want and what i ll do.
People should not look at such datas so to decide what to feel and do with their lives.
"Mom" is not a mom to his friend in the drama. She is a woman. And she wont ask you or me about whatever she wants to give him.

I know what you mean. I ve got the same feeling and to the point that im catching myself being interested in second characters more than the mains sometimes.
The drama has many interesting elements but up to now, it fails to gather them all together and have an identity, a purpose down the line.
I also dont quite know what am i watching and not in the good way of feeling the suspense but in the not so good way of "story all over the place".
I hope they put the storyline in the right path cause we re already in ep 11

Im rooting for them too! They look so good together! I hate stereotypes of any kind and no matter my age (which could be considered as medieval lol) i will always root for lovers who get together against all odds be it age gaps, social gaps etc
I think that they look so good together cause they are so different and so of same quality at the same time. Big age gap but same simplicity of thinking, they are both a bit childish, a bit naive and i dont know, maybe their auras give a very positive vibe!

Every person has different life values when it comes to relationships, friendships etc. Not all people think the same way. e.g. i have a friend who dated my ex and im ok with that (there was no cheating).
There's no "we". Different cultures, different mindset, has different rules
I would also be fine if a friend of mine dated one of my parents (of course if my parents were divorced-i dont like cheating)

I really REALLY hope they wont ruin it big time! Ive watched so many dramas with potential to be great stories and in the end they wrapped up the whole thing leaving unanswered so many things. as for the hand, they can blame it on his illusions due to his brain damage (it was already hinted) but lets see it may be caused by a supernatural reason

I ve watched only a few where people in their 30's have a past in relationships and i really treasure them hahahhah. But here i think ML and SFL had the whole package-intimacy and everything. I mean they are together for many years and though there wasnt any kind of strong feeling, they look as if they get along well-or at least in a convenient way.

Based to my (huge) experience in kdramas, usually in ep 11 the couple gets together, then in ep 13 everything falls apart and the revelations begin! I just hope that in this drama, they will successfully put together all the mysterious elements in a smooth way and not waste a story that looks so interesting

Its a kdrama. People in kdramas rarely (if ever) have sex.
We should be glad that there's no implication that someone in this drama is still a virgin.
Most main leads are virgins no matter the age :))

The main difference in dramas vs real life, is that in dramas you clearly see that they deliberately choose the "ugly-old" (i hate the words i use but i do it just to define what i wanna say), guy to be the predator, on the contrary the "hot-young-rich-or whatever" ML is justified because ...the writer says so.
I dont support moral censorship in anything cause im a huge fan of freedom in art and in general, i just like it so much when i see in other movies/dramas, a ML who is all the above: young hot rich etc, to be the "bad"guy, with no justifications at all. Mr/mrs writer you want a bad ML? Im sooooo fine with it. Let him be bad -there's no reason to make the female lead turning against other guys who do the EXACT same thing as the ML, while accepting him no matter what.
In this drama i didnt like at all the way they present the widower or her boss at work who are older and not that good looking and she almost looks offended by their interest (Ok the flower guy is indeed a bit creepy but same goes for ML)

I agree with your thoughts, but if youngsters are being socially educated by dramas and shows in general, the problem is not the shows but the whole society structure and values.
We cant expect art products to educate/form opinions/influence people THAT much so that they follow what they see. People should grow up being educated of how to use their brains to judge and criticize literally everything, not digesting anything without thinking.
A person who is influenced by tv shows, can be manipulated by anyone and anything.
Making dramas/movies "the right way" isnt the answer, and it always hides the danger to kill creativity, realism, freedom of expressing oneself through art etc

hahahahahha you re so right! But you pointed out the main core of every lovestory in every movie/drama internationally.
Love stories who are so loved by the audience always have 2 young beautiful people who are forgiven for literally everything just because....they're cute! Ok to be fair, there are good movies (not dramas) out there that depict realistic relationships where age is just a number so as the beuty.
Drama world is just a delulu world lol

(another thing i noticed is that the 2 older men-that fell for her due to the spell-are presented to like her, only because they drank her potion. Otherwise they wouldnt dare!
Since when is forbidden for an older person to fall for a younger or vice versa?
(oh how i miss japanese dramas that often break these stereotypes)
I remember people getting crazy with the drama Dating in the Kitchen and the Love and Destiny, cause the ML in both was much older. The hate was unbelievable

Currently the story is a bit all over the place, they throw elements here and there, i just hope they will combine everything and put the storyline in order

Thanks for this analysis! You brought to light many elements combined, especially the presence of the little kid and the role that the Mayor plays. I hope the storyline goes exactly the way you describe cause it would be very interesting. I also hope they wont ruin the current suspense.

Its a drama, not the writer's interview about life and relationship values. If a drama shows only perfect nice kind people, its not a drama, its a 100% lie. In real life people often behaving into gray zones, making mistakes, immoral things, spontaneous things etc. She did create a firm border but people have flesh and heart so the lines are not quite distinctive

It would be very unrealistic for this couple (ML and SFL) to break up that easily. There are families involved, the relationship runs for years now, they seem to get along well-at least in the surface-plus the factors i mentioned before about the strong feelings absence.
I forgot to mention that he is not a genuinely kind and perfect guy. He is arrogant by nurture, he's got high standards (remember how he found it hard to accept that he fell for a lower class next door woman when he already has the perfect fiancee) so his actions up to now are very suitable for his personality.
