I 'd never hate any hero/heroine, but her mediocre feelings....i find them lets say inappropriate for a pure romance drama, especially a historical one, where emotions are often depicted in a more passionate way cause of more serious obstacles (society restrictions, wars so many things between a man and a woman)
She could easily make the same choice, but they should show to the audience how much she is suffering, and that letter-hm-had no excuse to be that harsh
I was shipping him with RE and now im gonna be in 2 ships, both with my babe RE and the new 2Fl lol

So, more unecessary tragedy could be ahead of us.
It would be the first time i ll drop something so soon

I wouldnt dare to compare Claire- a true fighter and feminist and survivor, with our FL here.
And i also dont see how they will clear up all this mess in only 10 ep left during the 2nd part

By title and by genre it was meant to be a pure romance-historical drama. Not a slight romance-political-war-drama. If the genre was of other kind and the romance a side story, it would be fine.
Period.
There are no excuses for all this awful depiction of the supposed "Love story" .
There's no love story to begin with. There is an obsessive man that somehow something went wrong with his hormonic reaction and fell hard for a girl and a girl who is not in love with him. Of course there are layers in human emotions, i get it that her not loving him enough to go with him is ok in real life, but there is NO romance drama with mediocre emotions.
Romance stories need full hearted feelings and lovers who are ready (at least from a point of the story and on ) to fall literally into fire for their lover. BOTH.
I even read people saying that its the best historical-war depicting-battle drama.
I wonder, have they ever watched a real historical-political-war drama?

Im in my mid 40s but i can relate! Jamie is the ultimate hottie and our all time classic Scottish crush, no matter the age!

Its been centuries since i watched western dramas, the last one was outlander and i dropped it to catch up some time in the future-but outlander has epic dynamics between the couple. I doubt if there was such a couple in a long drama like that, for years. if we re talking about a woman-survivor-fighter, in a time travel trope, a real original feminist by nature and by nurture, Claire is a whole category of her own!

Even in Till the end of the moon that was crappy in so many ways (i like the leads so i digested all the mishaps and flaws-including almost losing my eyesight from the bad color palette-brightness-whole messy aesthetics), there was a right proportion of "revenge-love-hate-denial-love again" etc.
And dont tell me what Cheng Yi did for the FL...he's got a personal record of spitting blood in L&R lol!

oh yes! that's why in many cases, oldies are goldies-even in historical k and chinese ones!

So many dramas have a reversed poster, i never got that! you have to break your neck so to see whats goin on!

If you were the designer, i bet you 'd put them behind the poster hahahhahahahahhahahahahaahhaha

Change the FL? wow! In Alchemy there was no other way, cause there was a body swap, they ought to change the actress (otherwise there would be a body lingering in nowhere lol)
But i like your idea here! After all, i never felt any kind of special chemistry between them and i'd love that kind of plot twist!
Its too radical, i doubt they 'd do it! But i d love it!

Prepare yourself by finding a filler drama, just in case.

Im not surprised at all.
This is very common when the "Rule of proportions" isnt followed (no matter our own personal taste ok thats normal)
People have, lets say, a collective subconcious when it comes to dramas too.
There are certain expectations from the genre, after all is a romance.
And romance needs 2 to work.

I ve got to start Missing as my filler now (and i love the cast) and then i ll dive into 6 flying dragons for sure! I ve missed the genre and havent found a new chinese wuxia to feed my appetite for fighting! I ll let you know my impression!
