I know what you mean, since i myself am not into korean historicals as well. Depending of the genre you like (eg if you are a romance addict or skinship addict or fast paced etc) you can wait until it ends-both 2 parts and judging by the comments you decide if you watch or not the whole thing. This always saves time. Im doing the same thing, though i watch the most crucial moments but as i ve experienced slow burning romances in historical dramas A LOT, i get easily bored. As for negative opinions in general, MDL is not fandoms place, everyone can and should express his/her opinion cause there are people who read and want to be informed about many elements regarding a show, so the more controversial the comments, the easier for a potential watcher to decide

It hardly has any politics. Politics and history are playing a reference role for the romance story to move on, to bring obstacles for the main couple etc
There are certain things going on but there's no over scheming or screen time taken by the overall political-historical scene.
You wont miss anything crucial if you skip scenes where royals and officials talk about politics, but you ll lose the reasons of the couple being separated at times etc. If you skip those scenes and still have questions, you can always ask here but i dont think you ll miss anything

This scene may not be the ending, it may be the last scene of the 1st part . I doubt they'd give the ending scene from the 1st episode

The romance up to this point (ep7) is kind of frustrating but still enjoyable-as long as the whole mess wont last forever, fingers crossed.
I guess it will get better to the next 3 episodes cause part 2 will be aired in October.
Im also not into historical kdramas as well but i didnt skip anything up to now

To begin with, she/he's right. Its not a good character trait to keep wanting AND pursuing your bf's boyfriend. Its the heroine i know, but its very sh@tty. Especially when your bf is such a kind person, making excuses for your "illegal" crush on her boyfriend.

Kudos to my ultra intelligence for searching 2 days for a filler drama (Filler drama=the one you watch until your current main focused drama aires new ep).
Destined with you, has aired only 2 ep up to now.

I was referring to Mitchell's writing-i dont like the way she was writing, She depicted the era just fine, its just that im not a fan of her whole style in writing. I didnt enjoy the book that much
