I hate the character of Katsumata so much. A disgusting human being who would mock rape survivors, sexist, and someone who casually beats up anyone in his path. He also sounds and looks so annoying.
I will give this series a try because I like the Strawberry Night Cinematic Universe and I would love to see its stories with a more modern budget and production value/cinematography but going by the trailer, the leads just do not suit the characters at all.
to be fair, im shocked a jdrama is even reaching 8 levels. id say any jdrama rated 7.5 or higher is usally a good…
The harshness anything Japanese gets on MDL is proportionate to the over inflation of Korean and Chinese ratings and makes me very mad - it just feeds into the idea that Jdramas and Jmovies are inherently low quality :/
I think Thai web series are usually rated fairly but lakorns scare me so I won't even venture to have an opinion on them XD
Honestly, it was okay. I honestly think the prequel drama was more scarier, deeper and emotionally involving. I was interested through the first half of the movie but the last 30mins became a rather mindless boring gorefest and I just got bored. I also expected Hiromi to have much more of a role but she was just a damsel in distress at best and a catatonic log at worst. It was a good enough zombie movie, I guess, but not the same calibre as Train to Busan. 7.9/10.

Tbh I think that any kdrama and cdrama over 8.5 is good would be a better scale. A lot of those countries' dramas and movies feel inflated to me - their ratings aren't proportional to their quality.
A very slow paced movie that had beautiful cinematography and one of the prettiest OSTs I have heard. I watched this primarily for Matsumoto Honoka and as expected she delivered with amazing acting. Man, I wished more of her dramas and movies got subbed.
How dare Akane barge into Karino's life and make decisions for him? Not only is it a shitty thing to tell a child that they're a burden but even lying about it to Karino? Hate her already.
And oh no, Kotaro's dad is going to make an apearance next week, I think. I should have known he'd be played by Takito Kenichi, this man is everywhere XD
Not a fan of the last two episodes but I'm happy with how it ended. This was such a fun drama that I looked forward to every week. I love the Karibe family - Ren, Seichiro and Aiko <3
