Hopefully! Someone else pointed out that the director isn‘t into passionate kissing. So if they press lips until…
May I ask when did the director say she isn't into passionate kissing? I'm just curious since I'm expecting much especially after the one we got from CTL lol.

I agree lol. In my case, I didn't drop a lot but I am critical of the plot and overall chemistry of the lead actors. But in this series, they've done a lot of things right. I'm too invested in this series and I honestly don't want to be disappointed because they've been doing a good job up until this point.

"pressing lips, surprise kisses, eyes wide open, slow motion, fall and catch " that's actually what Right or Wrong has in common with Trapped lol. You know it's the same director when you can sense that haha. Right or Wrong had a decent love scene but Hunt isn't a good kisser, so it kinda looks weird lol. But for the most part, I do agree with you haha.

I hope that's not the case. I mean it'll be pretty weird to see bed scenes with mere lip touching lol. I trust the director. She's also the one that directed "Right or Wrong" and we got a decent love scene there. Hopefully the love scenes we get in Trapped is a thousand times better.
"... feels like lazy writing in my opinion" They did so many things right until now, I don't feel like being too…
That's why I was super pissed lol. I'm really hoping they don't take that route. It's repetitive and unnecessary at this point. At this rate, Shaofei's going to lose a limb before he and Tangyi can even become a couple lmao.

Based on the teaser where he gets stabbed. I don't know if they're angstbaiting again and it turns out he doesn't get injured, we won't know until the episode airs. But I honestly don't want them to take the "Injure Shaofei" route once again, it's getting a little repetitive. Yeah, we have 20 episodes now and they could really improve the pacing as the previous HIStory seasons always had to rush due to the limited number of episodes. The side cp was really done dirty in CTL and I'm hoping they do it right here in Trapped. I'm too invested in Jack and Zhaozi that I honestly don't want to be disappointed. Writers please pull through and don't rush things~

That's why it pisses me off. They did so many things right up until this point, that seeing them mess up would kinda suck. With eight episodes left, I don't know how they're going to address everything while also developing the characters of the two cp's without rushing it. And injuring Shaofei (AGAIN) doesn't seem like a good idea as it really wouldn't drive the plot forward. I think they've left subtle hints but once you think about it, a lot of things have to be resolved. I think that was Shaofei's turning point though in realizing his feelings for Tang Yi, but I do agree that the start really had a slow pace.
1. We don't know anything about Jack yet. Like why does Tangyi trust him so much? And what is his intention with Zhaozi? And how will his "secret" affect his relationship with Zhaozi.
2. Who killed Tang Guo Dong and Shaofei's senior? What was the reason for his attack and how was Tangyi spared?
3. What's Tangyi's plan to the opposing gang?
4. What's the deal with Ah De and that shady policeman?
5. What's the beef between Azhi and Hong Ye?
Like I don't know how they're gonna explain these while also showing the "love scenes" of the 2 cps in eight episodes. I'm worried but I hope they pull it off.
Based on the Ep 13-14 teaser, I'm hoping they don't take the direction of what I think they're going. Injuring Shaofei's character for more suspense kinda feels like lazy writing in my opinion. They can still bring suspense and conflict to the story without resorting to Shaofei being seriously injured, yet again. I just hope they develop on the other characters for the remaining eight episodes as well, especially Jack and Zhaozi, who we still know nothing about. There are so many ways this drama could go and I'm hoping the writers could pull off the remaining episodes; specifically, the conflict and character development of the central characters involved.
Are you sure we're even watching the same show? lolTrapped is one of the best BL's right now lmao.
It's an opinion lol. And by the looks of it, with the concept of BL that is, this is, in my opinion the best so far. We've been fed with so many Thai BL dramas with overused character tropes, cringey humor, bad acting, and an ensemble of irrelevant characters who contribute absolutely NOTHING to the plot. This is a breath of fresh air in my opinion.

I'm not saying it's perfect. I'm well aware this series has a lot of things it can improve on. Just the case of continually injuring Shaofei's character could count as one analysis at itself, but that's a different story. What I'm saying is if you wanna make a comment on something based on your own preference, then please do so as it is YOUR opinion. But if you want to criticize a character for, and I quote, "not looking like a policeman" and not further elaborating on the said point, then seeing someone refute this statement should NOT be questioned. She's free to have her opinion as I am to mine, and you to yours. But me commenting on her opinion does not mean I invalidate hers.

Yeah I know lol. I am accepting of criticism only if the comments involved are of critical comments backed up with evidence. But I'm very well aware not everyone can like a certain series lol
Jack: I'm attracted to you. Don't you support Meng Shaofei? Zhaozi: I support him, but that doesn't mean I support myself. Jack: Since you support him you have to support me as well. After all, you've been actively attracting me.
This whole interaction was so cute. Jack was afraid Zhaozi was against gay relationships but hearing him supporting Shaofei gave him the courage to confess. So the fearless Jack really tested the waters to make sure Zhaozi won't hate him for confessing. They make me feel so soft. :(
That is an interesting take on the matter. I think for this series though, both the acting prowess and "vibe"…
It's actually a really nice touch by their team. It doesn't follow the usual "muscular and manly" cop tropes we're always given in dramas. In this drama, we get to see their comedic and vulnerable sides, as cops and as human beings, and I really like it. Well, you know what they say, you really can't please everyone lol.
I watched the 11 episodes in one go and I don't know what to think of this series yet. Something is definitely…
That is an interesting take on the matter. I think for this series though, both the acting prowess and "vibe" were considered. I don't know if you've watched their interviews, but Andy originally auditioned for Tang Yi's role and Chris Wu auditioned for Shaofei's role. The director immediately thought the two didn't suit the roles they were trying out for, so since they gave off a "vibe" towards a certain character, I think that's why they were reassigned with the roles. The crew even downright rejected Chris Wu's audition altogether, but the director intervened, thus considering him for the role of Tang Yi. For Jake Hsu's case, he was the most experienced actor among the four of them. Even though someone else could've pulled off the "cop" vibe better,I think they also considered his acting prowess, which could've gone to waste if he wasn't chosen as a main character. For Zhaozi's case, he's the perfect example of an actor being chosen due to the person's "vibe". Kenny got accepted two hours after his audition just because the crew felt like he was the perfect Zhaozi (which is true) despite having zero acting experience.
