So after reading quite a few of the comments here I've decided to add my two cents. Marked it as spoiler as I'll be sharing my views on certain scenes and characters.
Firstly, I'd like to say that I absolutely loved the chemistry between all the characters. As the drama proceeds we see a vast change in Le Chang Ge's character, and it's so amazing to see Ashile Sun besides her side. Every character (apart from Lei Meng and Khatun) redeemed themselves. From Sher to Yanli, Minister Du and Hau Duo, such a pleasant watch.
What I truly like about this series is that there is no misunderstandings (except the truth behind her mother's death) or communication gaps between the leads.
I'm going to compare it to my other two favourites - Ten Miles of Peach Blossom and Ashes of Love. I absolutely hate it when the writers add the silly and most ridiculous tropes of stupid break ups and miscommunication.
The way TLB portrayed Ashile Sun and Le Chang Ge was brilliant. Her understood her from the get go. Without expecting much he was there for her, even though she was from the enemy camp. And the same goes with her. After being kidnapped to the grasslands, once Mu Jin explains the situation to her, she does everything in her power to protect him.
Something which isn't seen in many dramas I've watched. Yes, there are no intimate scenes and kisses, etc. But his actions do all the talking, and her's too. I loved this drama!
As for Mimi Guli's death, I guess they had to kill her off as she was caught between Mu Jin and Sher Khan. Her character never really spoke to me. I hate weaklings, hence her death didn't upset me.
As for the ending, I choose to see it as they've settled down in the grasslands after roaming the world, Ashile Sun in right behind her as they're taking an afternoon walk in the peaceful plains.
I like no-breakup dramas, too. Those who fight for their relationship. Or if there's an issue, it won't take long…
As well as, Love is Sweet, Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Le Coup de Foudre, Lucky's First Love, Perfect and Casual, Poisoned Love, Forever Love, Skate Into Love, Sparkle Love. Some of the best cDramas in the no break up/ fluffy romance category in my opinion.
Is it possible to watch a drama where the vast majority of the female characters annoy you to the end. They named…
Well summarised. The females in this drama are so shallow, including Fang Nian - move on with our life lady. Quite disappointing. The only reason I'm still watching is because of Zhang Han :D
Absolutely love this drama! Luo Yunxi and Bal Lu ❤️ blew me away with their stupendous performance. Both of them are such a mesmerising couple and stunning actors. After watch Ashes of Love, I knew Luo Yunxi won’t disappoint, but what a beautiful actor he is. I’m charmed. Bai Lu’s performance in Lucky’s First Love was cute and fluffy. Here, she’s just adorable and so lovely. Man! I love this drama. Gonna miss watching these two lovebirds. Their chemistry is fire ?. Loved the music too.
Watched this movie today at the cinemas. Such a huge disappointment. So much of badly done CGI, the scenes weren’t shot properly. The only saving grace was Yang Yang speaking in Mandarin (just one scene tho). Everything else is just a blur. Being a Dubai resident, I did enjoy the Dubai scenes, it was quite funny.
In all honesty, I can’t believe Yang Yang actually acted in this movie. I was really looking forward to see him act after Love 020. The storyline is dead and acting is subpar. Expected so much from Jackie Chan and Yang Yang.
A couple of scenes with Ye Hua and Bai Qian wouldn't hurt. Yup, Yang Mi's in the support cast line up and so is her reel son, Ah Li. Hence, I was hoping to see Mark Chao somewhere in there.
