I would disagree on the fast forwarding through the first 3 episodes. They are a terrible horrendous mess of something. Don't know if its the script, or the edit or something but its atrocious but there is vital information that is introduced in those 3 episodes that helps explain what happens later.
People will be thinking that this girl picked up a book and she was suddenly an incredible doctor when its mentioned in those early episodes that she spent her childhood learning medicine with her mentor and her friend.

Historical Cdramas scripts don't dwell on how to make something possible, they just do it. The laws of nature don't apply unless the scriptwriter chooses to use it as a plot device.
My fave plot device so far is the flying around that everybody does, sometimes even from underwater. In light of that, I can believe that there is some magical skill that allows someone to change not only a person's face but voice as well.

Its all in the execution of the story.

Why not, this is a love match as opposed to an arranged one. Plus, in those days they used to do those horrendous things- the whole blood on the bedsheet- to check that the female was a virgin the morning after. Dramas have shied away from showing that kind of thing of late but it doesn't mean that it didn't happen. Especially considering that she was an entertainer before.

Her new drama just started airing like a week ago. It was meh in the beginning mainly because of a lackluster ml (in my opinion) but it has really gotten very good in the later episodes

I had initially stopped mid ep 3, simply because of what you said. His face and smiling made him look like an idiot or a it was a sinister smile. It just looked off. Anyway, thanks to your comments I gave it more of chance and wow, its gotten so good.

I think this actor is not suited to be a ml. I will give it time to grow on me because the story is interesting but its slow going at the moment.

Like seriously you lose a ring that you didn't ask for and so it should be considered a gift in the bathroom and then you never look for it, allowing yourself to be blackmailed into signing a contract for a period of 1 year to pay back for said ring and then when you sign the damn contract you don't even read the terms and they expect me to believe she is a brilliant doctor. That's why her ex stole her work, she doesn't pay any attention to details. Sure, ex is an asshole but she is not much smarter.

Exactly how much do you want it spoiled for you? Its the female lead's story over her life. She does go through some unbelievably tragic parts of life but she goes on to lead her husbands family onto prosperity. Also, don't get attached to any of the males character, this is not a romance. its a slice of life drama.
