I always end up laughing imaging the actors doing all those hand motions before they put in the CGI parts. Some actors sell it better than others
Every time Wu Huan is doing those hand motions, I just end up laughing because it looks so silly which takes away from the seriousness of the scene.

Dong Hua was an immortal during the time of the god realm.
Its important to know that since the god realm closed, there wasn't enough "whatever" was necessary for the immortals to cultivate to god level. That's why Mu Guang keeps trying to reopen the god realm.
Remember that Wu Huan, Gu Jun and Mu Guang all were immortals of different clans/type before they came to the god realms as higher immortals working on the path to become gods.

Now, correct me if am wrong but I think the 4 true gods can't die a permanent death. Sure they can go through tribulations and go to sleep for hundreds and thousands of years but they can never permanently disappear. It seems to me that they are integral to stability of their universe.
Tian Qi is god of water, Bai Jue is the god of fire (as per ep 46) . I am assuming Zhiyang is the probably the god of some other element, maybe earth or something like that and Shang Gu is the god of everything combined. i.e Chaos, that's why she is chief god.

So, there I am just laughing at Wu Huan thinking that she can replace them. Poor deluded fool who thinks her daughter can rule in place of Bai Jue. As they say in my part of the world, the thunder that will hit her has not yet woken up. She is in for a very RUDE awakening to what level she really is. As Tian Qi says, lowly phoenix, know your place!!

She wasn't a god by that time but she cultivated to that level by the time 60,000 years were over. I don't think even Muguang had reached god level at the end of the battle, it was only Gu Jun who at god level by that the time of the fight.
In the great battle against the devils most of the inhabitants of the god realm sacrificed themselves so that Bai Jue could defeat Xuanyi. Its only those 3 from the god realm who were left to watch over the immortals since the god realm was now closed.

I just saw that too. Why hold off on the english subs until the day before the show should be aired. They did the same thing last week. Huge disservice to the viewers who need english subs.

Edit- Actually subs are only for ep 39-42. 43-46 still don't have eng subs

Truth. Bai Jue already knew that wuhuan was the one cultivating devil energy back in episode 38, that's why he asked Muguang (aka idiot number 1) if he knew who it was since he has been in charge of the immortals for the last 60,000 years.
I think BJ has a plan to stop Wu Huan but it can't interfere with his plan to save Shang Gu so we have a dilemma.
