Was it my imagination or was that Qing Mu coming to check on his family? You can see that Bai Jue is putting on a facade of ice cube as soon as he runs into Tian Qi. The way he was looking at them, sound asleep - that was Qing Mu!!! So if Qing Mu is still in there and still loves them as much as he did before then why is Bai Jue being so cold to Houchi then Shang Gu and their kid. I suspect all will be explained when we watched the episodes so good job on the teaser.
More and more I am thinking there is a curse on being heavenly emperor in Xianxia dramas. The only decent one I have seen was the one in Love and Destiny. He was reasonable, but the one from Ten Miles is literally the worst ruler who ever governed anything ever.
Its like once a character becomes heavenly emperor then he gets dumber and dumber and dumber!
Mu Guang by all definitions was the best of his graduating class, an A student so to speak and now 60,000 years + later he is a veritable dodo head. He doesn't ask any follow up questions! Am here screaming, dude where is you critical thinking, don't just swallow what they say without asking for more details. Shang Gu gave both him and Gu Jun the talk about why all the parts of the 3 realms are important and why maintaining that balance is important to their own continued survival but its like he forgot all of that after spending time with Wu Han having all those entitled brats. The only child that grew up and survived being entitled is Jing Jian although I have no idea how he managed that.
I meant what will happen when Qing Mu disappears/ merges with Bai Jue but I realised that you may not have seen that spoiler and so I stopped typing. I know that Qing Mu is Bai Jue but he is also not, you. Houchi wont just be able to love Bai Jue like she did Qing Mu even if Qing Mu is made out from Bai Jue. That was my freak out and then deciding if I should watch the episodes raw now and watch again with subs or just wait for the subs.
Deciding whether to begin this drama...R there any really annoying characters that stick till the end of the drama…
Your comment has actually made me realise that there are no annoying characters in this drama so far (ep 18). There is a character that is introduced who looks like she has the potential to go this route but she only lasts for like 2 episodes.
You are right, it was a huge spoiler but am so happy that I clicked on it. I kind of got that feeling when Gu Jun was refusing to accept their union. OMG, what is going to happen!!!!

Can I guess? Does Qing Mu have to disappear now that Bai Jue is coming back? That's been my impression from ep 30 when Gu Jun was talking about how he opposed their union because he doesn't want Houchi to be sad.
I don't think this will be more heart wrenching and I am more than half way through it. Si Feng is still the champion of suffering, some warranted but some suffering was partly/mostly his fault - but that's a discussion for another page and another day.
When we first meet Shang Gu she is a little bit of a spoilt brat because she was supposedly the Chief god but didn't have the power to back it up. So she couldn't really do anything and the other true gods spoilt her rotten because they felt bad that she was so weak and yet she was destined to be in charge of not just all of them but all of life as they know it. It isn't until she meets Bai Jue and he doesn't put up with any of her rubbish that she gets her act together. If you notice Houchi is not as cocky as Shang Gu was, she doesnt have the same true god support system that Shang Gu had so she is ever aware of how weak she is in a world that only respects strength and the need to remain neutral as her father wanted it. That has always helped to put a reign on the stubbornness that is so much a part of her.
