Uuuu, I am confused..Is this supposed to be the page to Yin Yang master 2? Because that one already aired end of February on Netflix..Or is it another movie?

Ufff...Don't have Apple and I already tried with different methods from what I saw on twitter and fb, and still cannot manage to pay the subscription for youku...Hope they'll make this available on Android as well..Or just make their website optimized with English since paying on a page that you don't understand is begging for a rip off most times... Just please don't compare S Korea with China BL...South Korea has barely something for BL content...They don't censor it since they don't even film it! If they do and i missed something, then i gladly accept recs with good kdramas that have content like these one ( and i mean dramas, not poor quality made movies). I agree on the Thai BL's, but Thailand has come a great way and has different mentality and they still have long way to reach a good lenghty quality in production drama. While Thailand succeeds in being open minded, they fail on the post -production side and budget.

He truly is flawless! And the quality of the production makes him look at his finest!

I feel like this drama might make Simon Gong even more popular and possible candidate for other main roles for wuxia or historical series! He fits so well in these costumes and long haired..and that flirty smile of his is top notch! He fits this role really really well! Glad that he was casted!

Unless they announced something new in the last few days, Haoyixing is slotted to be aired in mid -to-late March. As for the trailer... China is known for dropping trailer at the same day as when they release episodes, so don't count on a trailer very soon. Word of Honor, which aires now, had their trailer dropped just as mentioned above.

Based on some articles on Chinese websites, this will air on 23.02. No news of trailer yet tho, so they might make an The Untamed on us and drop the trailer a few hours prior releasing episodes. Since it will be released on Youku..,international fans might struggle with finding subs at release time. And Immortality drama was also mentioned in the articles as being scheduled for March broadcast until April, tho this is contradictory with other info that mentioned that they have a slot for it at the end of February.

:) You're welcome! Yeah, unlike other countries, China releases many episodes from the start (at least the dramas released online; the TV released ones are different)! I still remember when all of the sudden, with no prior announcement, The Untamed aired with 6 full episodes! It was a feast!

Probably as most Tencent dramas get released: 2 episodes per day; 3 days per week. For VIP having a start of 6+episodes in the 1st day.

I almost never watch movies, but the trailer of this one made me do it. Gorgeous CGI (which is very rare for Chinese movies), charismatic characters, good actors and perfect music for the background. It has a lil bit of everything: some bromance, palace royal life, fantasy due to the Evil Snake and the guardians, some romance which might have made me a tad emotional and even a tiny bit of comedy. Cannot wait to see the sequel which the ending begs for! Overall, I would definitely recommend to be watched..though I do consider that this whole plot would have been better fitted for a drama with more episodes. It would have been nice to see the background of the masters and the evil serpent:)

I get low budget! I actually like the Ming dynasty and their clothes style and how tumultuous times were then because with this details, very good dramas can come out, such as Sleuth of Ming Dynasty. I even have 2 or 3 upcoming dramas from that period for which I am waiting to air because I like how the plot of that era can mingle in dramas (The New Dragon Gate Inn is one of them) ....But the actors and plot line for this one are just a no-no for me. The male lead especially has the same facial expression in all episodes I have watched and that also makes the action moves look weird for me. Overall, it just isn't for me; after all, so many people, so many tastes in dramas

If you haven't watched many Chinese drama, you will not understand the high jumping or sword flying like some do in other dramas. Because it's a wuxia genre where they combine martial arts with fantasy, kinda. Also, this is a drama with plot, so it's obvious they will only show some basic introductions in the first few episodes, especially considering the length of it, and not be so straightforward and give all interesting details or even villains, unlike how korean dramas tend to do.

This is one of those dramas that is loved by everyone and hated by me. I need to learn to stop believing ranks as much and go in watching blind with no expectations. Don't know why but the actors just ...felt stiff in their acting and the CGI looks pretty bad that it's hard to get into it...

I do think so! Because in this big universe that the writer created, all details come back in one way or another! :))) Makes me wanna rewatch some of the old series to see details there as well.

He isn't in Mystic Nine. But Mystic Nine is based on FoYe who is from the Zhang clan which for some people can tie some knots regarding where and what the tattoo on Zhang Qiling means. If I am not mistaken even FoYe himself said at some point that the tattoo is a curse (which..can make one wonder about the immortality as well). Kinda sad that the writer didn't evolve the mystery of the Zhang family...I understand that he only mentioned that Qiling is older than FoYe

You can start with Time Raiders (movie). Not very well done but it presents the main idea of why everyone is tomb searching. Not mandatory and necessary to watch though. You can however go straight and watch The Lost tomb 1 and The Lost tomb 2 (which ends in a cliffhanger that will be continued in this drama that has yet to air: https://mydramalist.com/64387-heavenly-palace-on-the-clouds ). If you want the absolute background to the whole universe of the series, then start with Mystic Nine which can give you an idea about who Zhang Qiling is, kinda. Ultimate Note is actually a sequel of the Heavenly Palace which has yet to air. Aaannd, if you still hooked haha, you can then watch the sequels: Tomb of the sea and the Reunion drama which is split into 2 seasons

Personally, I would say yes because you will not understand very well the relationship and the bond of the characters and also not understand why they are going to the tombs. The only thing that can bother you, if you watch the other series, is the ever changing main cast and the fact that between TLT2 and Ultimate Note, there is another drama that hasn't aired yet named Heavenly Palace.
